Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

Why change the contact format when it was working so well for everybody? Please bring back the full page of contacts with possibility to edit/alter details and do scrap the ridiculous capital letters in a circle to the left of the contact, too distracting and useless

You people must lay awake at night and dream up ways to ***** up yahoo mail. I use the list feature and the list changes year to year. Now I can't use the list from one year to make a list for the new year without retyping or selecting each contact individually. The old mail would let me pick the contact and which list I wanted that contact to belong to. Not any more. Way to go Yahoo!

It is VERY, VERY difficult to edit any personal contacts or group email contacts because the contact only are available in a small window to the right of the inbox. Why can't we open the contacts in a tab like we do for our inbox?? This is not very customer friendly. I have had a Yahoo email account for a very long time, but if it is no longer user friendly then I will be forced to change my email to another company. Please make Yahoo contacts more user friendly. Also, when I try to type an email to a large group, I am unable to see the entire body of my message. The message part that shows is about 1/4 of an inch, not allowing to see the entire message.!!!!!

I can no longer manage my contacts list. The person responsible for the change should be fired.

Can we not have groups in our contacts any more? We can't have someone in two different groups apparently which is stupid. This email is for a non-profit and we have several groups for a reason and sometimes a person needs to be in two different groups. It used to work but now it's terrible and won't allow us to put the same person in different groups. I'm thinking of going to gmail maybe it works better.

When I look at a contact detail, I should be able to see which group list that contact is in as well as if in multiple group lists

The "add contact" prompt when editing an existing email list doesn't do anything. It is not possible to add to a list as a result. There used to be a different way to do this, but that way no longer exists. Prior to that, adding to lists was part of the contact editing process. That no longer exists either.

Hi, 90% of my contacts disappeared in the last few days. How do I get them restored? There is no restore option with the New Yahoo Mail. Please fix the issue of how to restore contacts. I've noticed several people posting that their contacts also disappeared. Thank You.

I've been using yahoo for years but find it's not living up to my expectations. I can't move contacts from one list to another without having to delete completely from one list and add as new contact in the new list. Very annoying and time wasting. Come on Yahoo fix this.

I have been using Yahoo for many years and do not need instruction for entering a new contact or editing an existing one... the problem is on your end - - YAHOO NEEDS TO FIX THE INABILITY TO SCROLL UP OR DOWN, OR MOVE THE BAR LEFT IR RIGHT SO THAT I CAN ENTER OR EDIT A CONTACT.

I don't need instructions on how to enter or edit an account . . . YAHOO NEEDS TO FIX THE SLIDE BAR . . . IT DOES NOT MOVE!
There is no way to enter more than the first name of a contact, because the slide bar does not move in any direction (left to right, right to left, or up and down!
FIX IT OR RETURN THE MONEY I PAY FOR USING YAHOO!

Well... I wish Yahoo custom help/support would do just that: help us!
There seems to be an endless loop in links that don't help at all, I mean, where is the page where one can just type in a problem description so that the Yahoo support team can get back to us and make a difference?
I have been having these problems with contact lists for many months now:
(1) Contacts just vanish from lists.
(2) Three days ago I sent a message to a contact list that has 26 contacts in it and today I found that only 15 of them did get the message. I then checkes the message I had sent and the list of recipients lets me know that somehow 11 of therecients were left out by Yahoo service.
How come?
I have been using Yahoo Mail for more than 20 years and it's getting less and less trustworthy...

Anonymous - I'm not sure if you are seeing something different from some of us, but at the bottom is the option to add a contact (after you have already clicked on the contacts icon next to the calendar icon). Once you go into a contact, you can delete or edit. It is not efficient at all (for instance you can't select several to delete at once) but it is there.

to RobertStrongbow - NO - NOT in our Yahoo Email setup.--The Calendar and Notepad are to the right of Contacts, NOT to the right of MAIL. As many others have commented, after that comes the Settings Wheel, and there is NO OPTION TO: EDIT, ADD or DELETE CONTACTS !!

No Way, they're right there to the right of mail, along with calendar and notepad

The control to allow sorting by last name first seems to be missing. The "gear" does not include this feature. Please enable this sorting feature for contacts quickly.
