I know, IT people are exposed to a lot of electro smog, so i tried to help you defume one of the dumbest ideas since the innovation of the internet!
Auto localization!
It's stupid because of all the people that maybe travelling and only temporarily access the net in some country where they don't speak the local language. Even a baby that has not been exposed to electro smog will wonder how some nerdy techies can think it's a good idea to automatically redirect someone that enters mail.yahoo.com and therefore probably wants the English version, not some Portuguese as is the case for me currently in Rio. My lappy is US EN, my browser is DE German, nowhere anything of Brazilian PO in sight .. and your auto dumbo can't figure this out??
Check out some websites that could figure out how to bypass this issue, at the moment only skyscanner dot whatever comes to mind, with an VISIBLE option for people to chose their country or language if they get served dumb **** they can't read.
