Yahoo app
Something has changed with the Yahoo app and now you can only see different categories of emails instead of all your emails that come in in the order they arrive. I really don't like this because it disrupts the way I organize and prioritize my emails. Please restore an option to have it the "old" way. Thanks! And, I would suggest that you give some warning before you change the format of the app again. At first I thought it was just not working or that I had lost lots of mail.

The reason for that is due to the fact that yahoo, I am guessing, only hires high school dropouts (because they are the only people who would work for such an incompetent company) as I have never encountered such ignorance and lack of efficiency in any other company, ever. And that is saying a lot because there are some really awful companies out there. But yahoo... I mean, my god...

yes, I agree 100% that there should have been consideration to their current users and advised us of the changes prior to doing it, - I wrote to Yahoo customer service when I was getting so much spam all of a sudden and my contacts were receiving odd emails from my account that I did not write. I asked Yahoo to help with this which they said they did but then I also noticed I couldn't adjust settings it's limited to only 2 choices, but I cannot enlarge the font, the font size is so tiny, I can't bold, highlight or anything else. Yahoo curtly stated they could not change it to go back to the old version so we have NO CHOICE or SAY in this matter which is a shame, we either pay for services by getting the new Yahoo, or look for another provider. Very disappointed with Yahoo, after praising the service and recommending it to everyone over the years, now I feel let down by this service. I don't like using it there are so many limitations and drawbacks to how it is set up now.

Notwithstanding that the categories may not work for everyone (they don't; you have actually created 5 separate places for me to look for my email instead of the one I had before.), the algorithm sorting the emails is DOING IT INCORRECTLY. When my webhosting service emails me to review my account in advance of a renewal, it IS NOT AN OFFER, and yet, here we are with exactly that email in the "Offers" tab. When I turn off the categories, only messages in my "priority" tab are visible. I am actually worried that I have missed important email as a result of this unannounced change. Also, I have yet to be able to find the "All" tab that is supposed to be the workaround.

Laura D's comment - happening to me as well. Just spoke to yahoo customer service while speaking today I discovered the 6 new (blue toolbars on top of page just below yahoo purple border) folder toolbars that are set to default to "priority" which show only the most common contacts (makes you think you are missing or not getting all your emails). Also set to "unread" and hardly any come to "inbox" category any linger. But.......you must now manually click the upper far right folder marked " All " then your home page email screen restores back to normal view. The default to "priority" is the new problem, manually clicking "all" folder every time is new and troubling, cumbersome, annoying useless etc. Yahoo rep asked we leave feedback to hopefully have yahoo remove this promo process change so I am doing it here on Laura's comment as well. as my own** So meantime .....Remember now you must click that upper right "all" folder to restore your the old way of reading all email in your inbox each time until yahoo removes this.

I too do not like this change at all! I need to see all the mail in my inbox at the same time, Searching through all the categories for new mail arrivals is absurd. Please, change it back or at least create an "All Inbox" category and make that the default. Thank you!

The new updates, with the multiple folders is absolutely awful! It's not for Yahoo to decide how to sort my email!

I agree. This is a nightmare to get to my folders.
Please put it back. I want to use my inbox and manually sort my mail myself. -

The newest (11/30/2023) update to the Yahoo Mail app is forcing everyone to use categories like priority / updates / social etc. Can you please provide an option to turn this off, especially for us Premium users?
The app has become useless because it only filters emails out from the last 10 days, and seeing anything else chronologically is not possible any more.
