Ads
We should be able to opt out of certain ads on our email home page. I do not want certain ads popping up on my home page. I know that we have to have those annoying ads on our screen, but we should be able to opt out of ones we find offensive for some.

Advertisements change when you move towards them. I understand that ads are what you get when it's free email. I happen to like them because it helps me to find other options when I am shopping. The BIG BUT is that when you see something of interest and move towards it (beside your mail) it CHANGES to something you don't want. Why would you change an advert that catches someone's attention and who move towards it to click on it. IT MAKES NO SENSE.!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WHY WHY. Super dumb!!!!!!!!!

This is not a bordello site. It's a mailbox. Ads for credit cards, insurance and so forth would be better. I realize Yahoo needs revenue from ads. I don't usually object to ads. But I object to the dating ads dominating my mailbox.

Hello, Yahoo
In general, I have loved having you as my email.
But this is becoming extortion.
Are you telling me that I cannot read ANY email without signing up for Ad free?
I don't mind ads.
But when you refuse to let me read my emails at all without paying you, too, by covering them up with unremovable ads (ads that are already paying you, and which I have theoretically seen/read), that is extortion.See screenshot for Example.
Pretty sure there is something illegal in doing that.

HI Kathleen, absolutely, we 100% agree. When seeing an ad, you can hover on the ad and click on the "x" in the top right hand corner. There you can submit feedback and request not see that particular ad. Hope this helps!
