This happens when I need to set a message to Unread status. So, I click the message to select it. Then, I use the menu to select Mark As Unread. The message is highlight as expected. However, the checkbox remains activated with a check symbol. I have to manually deselect it. This began after a recent switch over to a (supposedly) newer and better mail interface. It never did that b=in earlier versions of the interface.
