Suggestion to Enable Recovery of Long-Inactive Yahoo Mail Accounts
Greetings.
I would like to share a suggestion based on a personal experience. I had an old Yahoo Mail account (tamizh444@yahoo.com) which I created many years ago. Over time, I stopped using it and eventually lost access to the account.
Unfortunately, this email ID is still linked to important services such as Flipkart and Facebook. Since the Yahoo account is inactive and I cannot recover it now, I am unable to access or verify those accounts easily.
I believe many users might face a similar issue with long-inactive email accounts that were previously used for registrations across multiple platforms. It would be very helpful if Yahoo could introduce a special recovery process for old or inactive accounts, where users could verify their identity using alternate methods such as linked services, old passwords, or identity verification.
Such a feature would help many long-time Yahoo users regain access to their digital history and connected services.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. Yahoo has been a memorable part of the early internet experience for many of us, and enabling recovery options for legacy users would be greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
Tamizh
