  2. Please allow user to block more than 1000 spam emails.

    Please allow user to block more than 1000 spam emails. I have exhausted 1000 limit in 6 months with increasing spam mails daily and now can not block any more senders. I am getting 15 to 20 spam emails daily. Or you needs to increase your security.

  3. Old emails deleted

    I've lost all emails from before 2006. I know that's a long time ago but I had a lot of memorable messages from before that date that I would be keen to read again. Is there any way to recover them? and is there any way to prevent further messages from being deleted?

    Hi Melani, yes you can check your storage in the left hand column. From Desktop, look at the left hand naviagion, you will see the a cloud icon and then Storage next to that icon. It's below your folders and "more." There you can manage your storage. Hope this helps!

  5. Can I block a certain advertiser form the adds or change the type of advertising I see?

    allow users to change ads or categories of adds to meet our needs. Not just what we have been browsing. For example, I had been shopping online for Christmas, now I keep getting adds for those stores, which I will not shop at again until Christmas next year. How about the option to change categories from retail stores to maybe travel, or vehicles. That might entice me to purchase from them.

  6. create split view

    Whenever dragging an email into a folder I now receive a "Create Split View" column that comes up on the left side of the window. It doesn't appear to provide any functionality and is incredibly annoying. Can this be disabled? Considering moving away from Y! Mail if I can't find a solution.

    Every time I try to drag and drop a message from my inbox into a folder, if I don't move it super fast it automatically turns into a split-view screen. If I hover, even for just a second it turns into a split-screen and I don't have enough time to drop the email into a folder. It's driving me bonkers! I like to drag and drop rather than click on "move" to a folder because it's faster. But this new update is annoying. At least give us an option to avoid split view from automatically showing up when you hover…

  8. remove the auto split screen shift when the cursor is trying to move mail into files

    Can we turn off the split screen function whenever we try to move mail into folders. It is very annoying when the screen shift into the split screen mode and does not move the file and we have to move the cursor back and try again. The split screen should be selectable from the setting and not automatically moving around to create this annoyance. A very dumb design.

    Better effort on the part of Yahoo is needed to detect spam before letting it get through to users.

  12. Dating ads

    There is no way I can stop dating ads. Nothing to click on to stop even temporarily. Please, please end these ads. My husband has access to my email. These are highly troublesome! I've tried everything outside of having to spend my hard-earned money to block or even temporarily stop them. Anything Yahoo can do is most appreciated.

    Ads that present a false sense of a security threat SHOULD NOT be presented on the email platform. Ads are fine for a free product, but showing ads that state that a virus is detected, should not be present in the platform. (Presented by good ole McAfee!).... Stop encouraging people to worry about their computers when there's no threat!

  16. Show SENDER EMAIL address in SPAM folder (not SENDER NAME)

    PROBLEM:

    The SENDER NAME is the most obvious way a spammer tries to fool users - including using a "correct email address" in the sender field.

    The FIRST thing I do to identify spam is to check the ACTUAL sender email. Either by hovering or hitting reply.

    SOLUTION:

    Show the ORIGINATING EMAIL address, NOT the SENDER NAME for mails in the SPAM box. This makes it MUCH harder for spammers to mislead users.

  17. improve your spam filter.

    Lately the yahoo spam filter has been almost non-existent. I have flagged the same emails as spam for the last two weeks and the very next day I will get two or three more. Almost all of my my spam was filtered and now hardly any of it is. Your spam filter does not work.

    We should be able to opt out of certain ads on our email home page. I do not want certain ads popping up on my home page. I know that we have to have those annoying ads on our screen, but we should be able to opt out of ones we find offensive for some.

    I have not been able to sign in to the Yahoo Mail for Android app since December 26th!!!! I've talked to your customer care people twice and get a run around and get told I'm supposed to pay a premium price for full customer service assistance like what company has the audacity to charge your customers for support help for their app???!!!!
