This continues to occur in the desktop versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge when the calendar is in full mode (i.e., open in a new tab). Right-click on a calendar entry that has a type assigned (Anniversary, Birthday, Vacation, etc.) and choose Edit. In the pop-up, the assigned type has reverted to General instead of retaining the type that had already been assigned to that entry.
