Message preview doesn't work when message layout is selected as list. It only works when message layout is selected as right or bottom.
This used to work, but now appears to be broken.

How do I get rid of the message box (Preview Box) on the right side of of the screen. Its redundant and clips off the messages in the center screen.

The "Message Preview" is turned off but the mail in my inbox still shows the preview of the data. I would like to have the inbox showing only the subject header for each email, just like the old Yahoo mail interface.

Hello, the message preview option is forced on and the on/off toggle in the settings has no effect. My inbox is terribly hard to follow because of the excessive amount of text I see when trying to evaluate emails.

Can someone please fix this mess? I would like to ONLY see email titles (as was previously done before this change.)

(PS: The avatars that now appear on the left side of emails are distracting as well and unnecessary. It would be wonderful if there were an option to disable this.)

I have "preview message" switched off but I still see the beginning of the message in the inbox subject list after the subject. I only want to see the subject in the inbox NOT part of the message body - it makes it harder to read quickly.

New desktop Yahoo Mail displays message snippets despite Appearance → Message preview being OFF.

I am unable to turn off the message preview. The toggle switch does not appear to send any command to make changes in the inbox appearance. As such, the "subject" of an email practically bleads into the "preview" making it confusing to read. The mildly bold font helps separate the subject line, but only when you haven't read an email. Once it's been read, the visual cue disappears and the subject and preview become one. It would be helpful if the preview were able to be placed below, or possibly even further offset to the side from the subject line. Provide an option for people to customize the preview placement, size, and color and it'll become more appealing to use the preview function. The current "small dot" separating them is not enough of a visual cue to find the email title in a sea of emails.

I have message preview off and am seeing a preview in the subject line. Again - clogging up my inbox. Fix the subject line to ONLY include the subject. Do not include the first few sentences from the body of the email.

I've got the message preview turned OFF, but nevertheless, the first sentence of each email is appearing along with the subject line in my inbox, which is a privacy issue, because anyone glancing over my shoulder can see some of the content of every single email. Please make the inbox system obey the control that is already set in the settings area, to eliminate the previews, thank you!

The message preview button does not seem to be working. I don't like message preview because it makes my inbox look cluttered, so I always turn it off. However, when the button is on the "off" position, I still see previews.

The ability to turn on/off message preview does not work still. I have it set to off, but I still see a message preview on each message. It's annoying because it causes the message subject to truncate.

I turned off message previews from settings. However, the message previews are still showing in the inbox. Refreshing the webpage does not help. I am using Microsoft Edge browser.

I would like to be able to hide the snippet of email content that shows alongside the subject line. It truncates the subject itself and in some situations shows way more message preview than the actual subject.

Thank you for the new Yahoo Mail, I really like it. However, there’s an issue — even though I turned off the mail preview option in the settings, previews still appear in the emails.
