An error occurred while saving the comment William Sanford commentedWhen Yahoo turns off commenting- even temporarily, they accomplish none of their stated goals. A “safe and engaging experience” is actually laughable. First, visiting Yahoo is never going to be unsafe. How could it be, unless you consciously post personal data about yourself. Secondly, how can you make an experience “engaging” if you don’t allow individuals to engage? I hate to say it, but the only thing that Yahoo is proving is they’re not very smart.
If you find commenting objectionable, all you have to do is not click on the show comments button. This really defies all rules of common sense. The system Yahoo has, if they would ease up on some of the moderating is perfectly fine WHEN IT’S TURNED ON.
