Bring back the archive. I liked seeing the latest news at the top of the screen in date/time order. The new format is all but useless to me.
I don't like revisiting the page and having to scroll though what I've already seen to get at what I'm interested in. Put the "new" back in news please.

Know what part of World a story belongs in
Have the editor of your world news page take a geography class. Or get a map and label the various regions of the world. For example, Syria, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates are NOT part of Europe, they are part of the Middle East.
And separate the sports from the news.

I read an article and read other Yahoo users comments on that article I usually don't sign in.
Now here's the bug:
I happen to see a thread I would like to add to (comment, thumb up/down etc) It redirects me to sign in now
here's the catch
when being redirected back to the article and comment section THERE IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SET OF COMMENTS

Your Left Wing ***** on news is Obvious. respect your readers. Offer more balance. Almost every other headline is some attack on GOP.
Include more headlines from more "objective" sources; not just left-wing sources like the Daily Beast. If you include HuffPo and Daily Beast headlines, then why not Fox News? It's only fair.

Stop ads with scantily clad women on home page!
I occasionally view my MyYahoo! home page while at work, and the advertisement box frequently comes up with scantily clad women, right at the top of the page. I cannot move this ad box nor hide it, and I will need to find another home page or risk termination at work. Please be sensitive to the type of ads you are FORCING users to view.

The type of cheap looking skin ads on Yahoo! makes it look like a fake site. Choose ads that fit the content and are more professional. How bad is Yahoo! doing anyway??

Be more balanced in your reporting hire some conservative reporters. Do we really need a ********** story every day.
Do we really need to see 2 homosexuals kissing everyday. How about focusing in on real issues like ObamaCare,the economy,maybe have a liberal point of view (that should not be hard for Yahoo) then have a conservative counter point of view (that will be very hard for Yahoo) It is called balanced reporting. Yahoo reporting right now is no different then listening to the lams-stream media. If you brought conservative in to the mix you would become much more popular ever wonder why Fox News has more viewership then CNN and MSNBC combined. You would thing Yahoo would do it…

Personal editing feature
The personalization feature of the news feed does not work. I have been properly editing certain news items for three months now and still receive edited articles. Yahoo just seems to ignore my delete items yet my past delete selections are kept in memory, apparently the program function stops at this point. For example I have selected not to view any "Dear Abbey" stories every day for three months now and every day there it is again. You do not have to be computer literate to see you wrote a program one way and promote it as another.

Reuters images poorly cropped by Yahoo site
Reuters images in the news pictures section are very poorly cropped by Yahoo - heads of people are portraits and other pics are often chopped off in the wrong place (through the head). Check the original pictures - even on the Yahoo search result page they look normal but if one clicks them they are erroneously displayed. See the one below:

Change the shortcut key of pausing / unpausing a video.
When viewing an article with a video, I will often PAUSE the video (usually by clicking on the video while it's playing).. Then, I will start typing something down in the COMMENTS section. The problem is: whenever I use "SHIFT" while typing a whole word (to put that word in CAPS), I will next press the SPACEBAR, after the last letter in that word.. Often, my pinky finger is STILL holding down "SHIFT" when I press the spacebar, especially if I'm also intending to type the NEXT word in caps (but this also happens when I'm NOT typing the next…

Your story reporting and general poor quality of e-mail.
I would hope you would employ writers with more than middle school level talent. Incomplete ideas, rambling, scant knowledge of topic; these are only a few annoying traits your writers have. ALL of them.
E-mail is just broken. It has been and always will be, I guess. When I first came on, it was very adequate for me. your constant "improvements" have been the bain of my on-line experiences. -
Save my location. HOW is it possible for SUNNYVALE CALIFORNIA to be important to PENNSYLVANIA
I am tired of having to change my location EVERY TIME I USE THESE PAGES> I am ready to remove it entirely and use a different browser and news site. Your choice Yahoo.
