I cannot reply to someone who has replied to my initial comment.
I cannot reply to someone who has replied to my initial comment even though I receive an email with the reply and a blue button to reply specifically to that person. It takes me to the article but I cannot find my original comment or the reply by someone else. I used to do this.

Fix the comment section trying to display a reply or respond to a reply DOES NOT WORK. As someone who has been developing software since the mid 80's IMO your comment reply functionality make Yahoo look incompetent

I still cannot reply to a reply on my comments. I cannot even see the reply. The system used to work fine. What changed? Why? There is no more conversation possible. Please tell us how to carry on a discussion again.

You have to look at the notification button at the top of the comments just above the what do you think box. That is how I found out and it shows all my comments and then when I click on a comment it takes me to it. Not the best or easiest way to reply but one way.
Yahoo never make things easy. -

Please give us a way to quickly access all of our comments and their replies straight from our profiles, grouped by which article or/and video they belong to, so we can easily get back to them and their replies for making quick follow-up replies, like/dislike, editing, and deletion. And let us sort them by time or other filters from right there too.
Thanks if so,

Fix the reply to a reply. It never takes you back to the original comment. It just rolls through all the articles like a slot machine. You never know where you'll end up.

Why have you goofed up the "reply to" button so it no longer takes me to the relevant comment? Now I have to scroll through 455 different comments to find the **** I want to put in his/her place. This has been a mess for weeks now, have seen several others commenting on it... fix it!!

I follow the instructions for finding your comments after someone responds. It doesn't do anything but bring me to the article and the top of the comment list. If it is very long I have to go through them one by one. Maybe there can be a way to divide it by how many hours ago it is . SO if it was three hours ago, I only have to look for the ones from that hour.

I have a Macintosh PC, and when I receive a Yahoo Notification of a like or reply to my comments, can not open the comment to see what the reply was. Please make yahoo comments the way it was before you decided yahoo had to be the political corrrectness concience for everyone.

Dear Yahoo News Team:
I don't know if you are aware of your news page comments section which is poorly written when it comes to its source code. The pages get so full of replies that you can't even reply to people's posts who replies to your post. I have used four different browsers and several different computers that have 40 Gigs of memory and this issue keeps happening.
Many other Yahoo members like me have posted about this issue and it really makes users wonder how a company like Yahoo has such an awful way of creating news sites with the worse source code is really incompetent, to say the least, How do you expect for people to communicate when they can't even read the messages they were sent? Yahoo spends more time on moderation and censoring people for profanity than fixing poorly written source code; in this day and age, any good programmer can correct and fix this issue, so why can't it be fixed?.
This is a mess when you try and reply to another Yahoo member's comment. You can't find anything, the pages mesh with other comments, even if you refresh the page over and over the same problem happens over and gets worse as more comments are posted. This is a true mess and why do you even have a comment section if you can't manage it to make it work right?. HTML code defines the structure and meaning of the content on a page, CSS code defines its appearance, and JavaScript code defines its behavior so the problem could be all three of these?. -

When I get an email that someone replied to my comment I click reply in the email but it doesn't bring me to my comment. So it's hard to have a back and forth discussion. I can't scroll through hundreds of comments to find mine so I can reply to the person who replied to me.

I totally agree. Same problem here. The "community guidelines" are set so a 6 year old transgender, nonbinary liberal will not be offended.

I read my Yahoo Mail to find out who has commented on my comments.
There is a link in each email to the comment in question. That link takes me to the specific comment BUT immediately switches to the top of the comment section. Further, it compresses all the replies so that none of the "sub-comments" are visible. So, it becomes required to search through ALL the comments and open ALL the replies to locate the comment that I want to read and reply to.
Why can't it just be that when the link from the email points to the specific comment, it just stays there and opens the "Reply" pane to write in? You got there once, why immediately switch out of there. It is SO frustrating and in most cases make it pointless to try to respond to people. One of the main reason I read Yahoo News is that Comments feature. But it is difficult to the point of virtually impossible to utilize it to its full potential. Also, I read Yahoo News because it is usually neither too Left or too Right but offers opinions (???) from both sides.
