I cannot reply to someone who has replied to my initial comment.
I cannot reply to someone who has replied to my initial comment even though I receive an email with the reply and a blue button to reply specifically to that person. It takes me to the article but I cannot find my original comment or the reply by someone else. I used to do this.

In Yahoo Comments, clicking a notice of someone replying no longer takes you to that comment. It only goes to the top of the comments for that article and you must scroll, and scroll, and scroll and hopefully find it. Fixing this bug would drastically improve the comment feature.

The failure to link directly to a message I made or to another person's reply means that any discussion ends immediately on articles which receive a large number of comments. If an article is a failure and only receives 50 comments, my comment can be found as well as the person replying to me. But on many articles, there might be 1.5k or 5k messages which means I could search for a week and never find them.

Why does Yahoo News not allow me to directly access replies to my posts so I can reply to them? The current method means I have to scroll through comments on end to find my original comment in order to reply to others who replied to my comment.

When I get an email because someone replied to my comment, I click on the link but it doesn't take me to my comment. How am I supposed to reply if I can't find my comment?

I was wondering why when you make a comment on an article and someone replies you cannot click on it in the notifications and it takes you directly to their comment. It used to work that way and now you have to search through potentionally hundreds of comments to find a reply. It is very inefficient and a time waster when you're trying to have meaningful dialogue.

Why don't your email notifications take me directly to the target comment/response? I seem to remember they used to do so. Is there something I can do to fix?

Same with me and more. About 20% of the time I'm taken directly to the comment on my comment. Another 60% I'm taken back to the original article that I made the comment on. Then it's nearly impossible to find the conversation that has begun. The other 20% of the time I'm taken to the original article from the original publication. Example; Say Yahoo copied the article I'm commenting on from Huffington Post. I get taken to the Huffington Post version, not the Yahoo version. This started happening approximately around the beginning of October 2024 or 1 or 2 weeks before that.

If I click on a notification that someone has commented to my post, it takes me to the story buy not to the reply. The post could have been hours ago and buried in levels of replies. I can't find the reply without the link working.

"Stupid" is in the title of the article. "F***" is written throughout the article. But when you try to post a comment, you get rejected. I totally get and agree that when you use those words to bully or make fun of people it's inappropriate and should be rejected, however, if you're making a comment with reference to the words in the article and stay in the context of the message of the article, I think it's fair play. If not, Yahoo should not use those words either.

Why do you censor comments when they do not contain profanity or negativity. Seems that when they do not align with your company position....the comment is rejected. Does that gain you readers? I posted about an article you had about a child ******....seems my comment was a rejected because I used the word ****.....yet that word ws used repeatedly in the article? WHY IS THAT?

MAGAs and/or Russian bots are allowed to remove any comments that don't favor Trump. You may as well discontinue the comments section if this is allowed to continue.

Yahoo must need to keep their "moderators" busy, allowing them to reject comments that have NO "bad language" in them, nor threats. If you place a word in all caps, like "NEEDS" (as in NEEDS to be done now"), you may get a warning. Change the caps to lower, and the warning goes away. To use an abbreviation like "BS" is a heresy evidently. They ought to come up with a word list (or should I mention it) of disallowed words. Yahoo is absurd in their incessant "might offend" mentality.
