Playoffs - Odd number of teams and more Bye week options
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs and other options for Bye weeks in the first week of playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.

I too would like a 2-week Championship week back as an option for a H2H format

I love the YAHOO and hate the ESPN interface. However, not being able to customize the tiebreaker rules was a deal breaker and I went to ESPN. I miss YAHOO, but rather not have incorrect standings.

Yahoo, can someone explain what's happening? It's only been requested for a few years now.

Great idea.

I thought this was already in place -- isn't it? It's a very good idea and should be done.

How long do you need to gather feedback? This has been a request in multiple sports for a few years now.

I think one week matchups for the regular season are fine, but agree that the playoffs, the finals, needs to be a two week event.

Yahoo, just add a two week final? "Gathering feedback," on what? Two week final is a must and I cannot imagine its all that technical a change. Just make the **** change, Yahoo, how many people need to raise this problem before it's addressed. Two week finals, do it.

Agreed. My big problem is with players being "rested" during the final weeks of the MLB and NHL season. The NHL is becoming particularly bad on this point. It makes no sense for a fantasy team to play with a top-notch lineup all year, to then have to play with a patchwork lineup during crucial playoff periods (eg. last game of the year, last year, in the NHL and the Ducks sit both Perry and Getzlaf). Cheap. These guys are paid millions to play hockey, make them play hockey. MLB is bad, too, particularly with skipping guys in the rotation as the season winds down, not to mention innings-caps on young talent.
This is a great idea, allow managers to pre-determine the end of their season as deemed appropriate. Great idea, Shawn.

I would like the option to have each round of the playoffs be two weeks. There are plenty of weeks to play with. In H2H especially the single week playoff format for 22 weeks of play is not a valid accumulation of stats to determine a playoff winner. Commissioners should have the ability to choose the length of each round of the playoffs in their tools page.

Well, the offseason came and went and this simple change still hasn't even been considered. While I would prefer to keep my league with Yahoo, I may have to switch to another web site.

Any way to give commissioners the option of setting up playoffs for Roto leagues? I guess this essentially involves being able to switch a league from Roto to H2H at playoff time, but is that really a giant pain since you already have the format running in H2H? I'm managing a league where about half the people like H2H and the other half like Roto, so it would be nice to get an option that has this mix of both.

Yahoo, please take a look at this. More playoff options and/or allow the commish to "edit" the playoff format would be a great option.

Please make this change before the season starts!

We have a AL vs NL setup and we would like to see this as well. We would prefer a "NLCS" and a "ALCS" with the winner advancing to the "World Series" Any updates would be help!
