Rosters - Requests for new roster positions
Requests for new roster positions such as IL+.

I like this idea.

THis has to be the DUMBEST request I have ever seen, let their incompetent programming team focus us relevant changes, having them waste time reading this retardation has to be stopped.
Idiot. DL is the DL for a reason.
you say...
"Restricting the DL to just players that are on the DL list in real life is silly. "idiot.

I can generally deal with DTDs, but game time decisions are always frustrating.
If a DTD doesn't start, then pinch hits with a K, it's a killer.
I note the DTDs and the game time cut off so I can check them later.
The worse scenario is when you have multiple DTDs. In that case, we should have a call up player allowed. -

I agree with this as well. There needs to be a DTD spot, its becoming more frequent that teams are putting players on the DTD instead of the DL

There absolutely needs to be a DTD spot on the roster just like the DL spot. Teams are leaving players DTD sometimes for more than 7 days. Teams are staying away from putting people on the DL. DTD players has been more frequent than ever and it's time we get a spot for that. Really screws things up when you have a player DTD for 7 days..

Yahoo is subpar due to their poor IR times. More owners keep moving to Fantrax.

please consider DL+ as you do in Fantasy Hockey

A common example currently is Luis Severino and Clayton Kershaw. Both out for an undetermined amount of time, both with DTD, and both are not eligible to be on the DL (or IL when it is changed.)

A much needed feature in Yahoo Fantasy Baseball (and all sports, really) is the ability to add players to the DL/IR, whatever you want to call it, when they are nursing injuries of any kind. Out with food poisoning? Day to day with a strained hammy? Make the player DL-eligible. Fantrax has this and it's a great feature. I'm told that Yahoo even has a form of this with IR+ in hockey - but only hockey. Baseball needs it, too. Restricting the DL to just players that are on the DL list in real life is silly. Thanks!

The fantasy baseball product needs a DL+ option where you can take "day-to-day" players off your roster. Yahoo has the code to do it (IR+ in hockey), I would think it's not too difficult. MLB teams in September do not put players out for the season the DL because they don't have to due to 40-man roster expansion.

DL+ spot, especially in September when real-life teams do not put players on the due to expanded rosters.

Copying my post from another thread...
I will repeat my comment from 2016:
"This would be a great option for fantasy baseball. Nothing we as fantasy managers can do about real-life MLB 40-man rosters in Sept. and no need for MLB teams to put their players on the real-life DL."- Gregory Polanco of the Pirates is out for the rest of the season, marked Day-to-day, and Pirates have no need to put him on the real-life DL with MLB rosters set at 40.You have a solution for this in the winter sports with the IR+ spot. Please consider creating a DL+ spot.

Why isn't there an option to move players who are DTD to a DL+ slot like you do in fantasy hockey? Please don't say this isn't possible, you already have it in place in your fantasy hockey.
We've had IR+ in hockey for years and use it for the roster moves where guys sit 5-6 days. It's great and would be a fantastic move where you don't even have to write code to do it. You already have the capability

why can't yahoo add a day to day category in order to keep good players on rosters, so many players get put on day to day and leagues do not offer enough roster positions WAKE UP YAHOO !
-
Richard commented
The MLB's "10-day" DL demands we have more than 5 DL spots on our rosters. My league may have to go elsewhere next year if Yahoo can't add more DL positions.

Because unlike hockey, baseball has definitive rules as to who is on the DL and who is not.

If a player is Day to Day the player should be able to be moved to a non roster spot so another player can be picked up to stay competitive that day. I should not be penalized because Yahoo is slow to move a day to day player to the DL that Yahoo has already reported was there. This player was also on the can't cut list so I was not able to do anything

Hi Clayton this wouldn't mean any additional slots, this would just allow players listed as DTD to be placed into one of the 'x' amount of DL slots that your league allows.
People stash players in DL all the time that's not really an issue. This idea actually makes things a lot more fair because while you may have a full healthy roster I can have a guy listed as DTD who I can't drop or put into the DL so I'm losing an opportunity to earn points all week.
We don't have 40 man rosters in fantasy so the flexibility makes it more real not less too, cuz the real teams are fielding other players we should be able to as well.
