[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Huge mistake. Bring it back or we intend to go elsewhere after 14 years of using Yahoo.

It might not get used a lot in public leagues, but it is critical for private ones. I really have to wonder who is doing the thinking for you guys. Certainly not any of the people playing.

Not sure what drove this mistake, but this part of the league is important! Communication is needed. Please bring this back after you fire the person who removed it!!!!

BRING BACK THE MESSAGE BOARD, WHAT ARE U DOING YAHOO?

Our league really depended on the message board. Its convenience is being missed!!!!!

The message board is critical for every Yahoo Fantasy League I am in. It is the quickest way to go about changes and transactions that may be happenning as well as the initial setup of a league.
The message board needs to be resinstated asap.

Removing the message board is a horrible idea. The chat is filled with every transaction the League makes and full of clutter. The message board lets you talk to the whole league with specific topics.
I have no idea how anyone gets paid to think this is better. I really need to get off yahoo.

Message board is a great tool for leagues. Are you considering age demographics in this decision??? It seems unnecessary to remove the message board. Desktop site has many benefits that the app does not and most managers in our league use the app only as an accessory to maintain real-time, on-the-go focus to their team. Competitive managers need the desktop site for true deep dives into league and team metrics. The message board is 100% part of an efficient team or league management bundle. Please don't force us to explore alternate sites for our league! Yahoo has always been the BEST platform for fantasy baseball. Don't lose your clout.

Used every year for draft order, keepers, payments, payout detail...aka important stuff you can easily reference. In a chat it's not easy to reference at all. Please re-consider!

It's rare your users are on a laptop/desktop to see the trading list. There definitely needs to be communication thru the app, & greatly improve notifications.

All of these negative voices and no response?

Yahoo doesn't care what people want or this would have already been taken care of.

Bring back the message boards!

This is critical because the league needs to communicate about bogus trades by other teams that ruin the league.

Terrible development. We used the Message Board. We never use the chat tool. It is filled up with garbage posts every time someone picks up or waives a player. It looks like it only keeps about 6 months of these garbage posts anyways.
We want to play fantasy baseball and make an occasional snarky comment to each other in the message board. We don't want to thread, pin or poll. Then again we are a bunch of old dinosaurs which is why we still use Yahoo at all.
I imagine our solution will be a group email where we can keep a running conversation without getting all of the system garbage mixed in.

Our league experienced a huge fallout b/c we typically have an announcement message board and important info was lost in the chat (we have lots of banter on the chat). We decided that the commissioner will have to directly text each participant important info going forward since Yahoo removed this feature. But honestly, we're probably moving to Fantrax anyway next year so whatever.

In a private league, having the message board can be very valuable. My league has been in place for over 20 years. As we have gotten older, no longer are we all in the same location, hanging out as we did in college. The message board allowed us a location to post announcements to the league, gage feedback when proposing league setting changes, or letting our fellow managers know we placing players on the trading block.

Hmmm....the number 1 issue has 275 comments the number 2 issue this thread on message boards has 2113 comments. Must be Yahoo/AOL math.
