[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

This is what happens when suits in an office who dont even play the games make decisions.

Dumbest idea. A league has to have a messageboard. Time to start looking at ESPN or CBS for fantasy sports. Who is the clown that thought it was a good idea?

Chat sucks. I can't tell when I have new messages. This is a really bad idea. Fix chat and maybe then take message boards away.
THIS IS A STUPID IDEA! The person that approved this needs to be fired and this decision needs to be reversed.
We relied on the boards for rules and offline drafts.

Why not make message boards excel compatible? Make most leagues much more user friendly, and improving the usability of the entire aspect of the message board. Considering most yahoo fantasy players have the basic understanding of excel, I believe this is yahoo's best avenue to improve the message board as well as positive reviews from yahoo players. Most leagues use the message board to communicate to everyone in the league via trades, updates, changes, keepers, etc!. We must have a message board to make communication accessible to all.

Very sad 3 of the last 4 years Diamond and you essentially kick me off your site. Future changes make no difference if you kill my league’s this year. Now that I think about it I realize both of my leagues I am in with about 12 years of history each are done. I see no way to conduct a message board based league on your site so we a done. I will miss Yahoo and will need to see if you have given us enough time to move them to another site. At least you have given me 9 months to figure out where to move my football leagues. That is the only plus.

Terrible idea
Will be looking for a new platform with no more message board. It is critical for our dynasty baseball league for multiple reasons -

Bad idea. Some of the managers do not like messaging. We use message board for our drafts etc.everything. You all are wrong to take this from us. Why is my question? What comes to mind is bureaucratic morons who have nothing better to do. Reminds me of the morons at Twitter who would drink coffee all day play games. You know the ones who were terminated. You all caused a great deal of trouble this year. You know there are other providers for fantasy Baseball.

We now have a major problem with our message board draft. We also use the message board to post our steals since the winner each week gets to steal a player from the loser. Our league may be over. This is a huge problem.

We use the message boards for our rookie and FA drafts. Some use them for IR lists or keeping track of managers who didn’t set lineups. Trades thst include draft picks.

The worst execution ever! They never planned to have the historical posts preserved until they realized it was CYA . Someone should be fired! So many Owners have left and this note feels like plugging a hole in the boat with a band aid. I won't support a woke media outlet any longer. Y'all can erase this message too. lol

Not sure why you would get rid of them but they were very useful for our leagues..bring them back!!!

a lot easier to keep track of things on the message board than on chat, communication can be done a lot easier when there are different messages all the time instead of going back and trying to retrace what was said. very stupid move by yahoo especially when they don't have anything ready to replace it with

Maybe don't get rid of the thing that worked (message boards) until you actually have something better that you have tested and found to work (chat). There's nothing wrong with "Moving forward [by] investing in chat as the best place for league communication and ... adding threading, pinning, polls and more," if you roll it out in a logical order. This whole situation is incompetence of a magnitude that is stunning. The damage that is being done to your reputation is grotesque while the remedy is simple and right before your eyes. Return the message boards till that golden day when you actually have something better to offer your customers.

I thought the goal was to improve the platform. Eliminating message boards that are critical to effectively managing and participating in a league is the single DUMBEST move I have ever seen. You want to have leagues leave and migrate to another platform, well congrats you have done your job well. An A+ for airheads.
Bring the message boards back, if you have any functioning brain cells left.

It's not too late to make this right. It doesn't take two months to figure out how to bring them back

I have been with you for over 20 years with my 2 keeper leagues, You have made it impossible to conduct our offline draft which is normally done on the message board. We have members from multiple countries and time zones, Chat doesnt work I will seriously be considering moving my leagues to fantrax even tho the familiarity with yahoo and a learning curve will be an inconvenience it may be the only answer. Sadly
