[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Yahoo killed out 24 year League -- by ending the Communication.

I've run fantasy baseball, football and hockey keeper leagues for 20 years through Yahoo, and the ONLY way to communicate with league members is by the message board. Taking this option away really limits communication within the league, especially when you want to send a message to all league managers. Yahoo has also recently eliminated "Career/Yearly Stats" from player profiles in both hockey and baseball, making it very difficult to research all player's past production, without warning. We're being forced to utilize other websites in order to access this information. I'm not sure what Yahoo is thinking, but at this rate, you'll be chasing everyone away from Yahoo Fantasy Sports.

I cannot possibly imagine the reason for this decision. Especially in the preseason, the message board has always been the main way my leagues have communicated. It has been critical in sharing player feedback for setting up the drafts and proposed rule changes. The chat function seems like a very poor substitute. i would be curious as to what could possible justify this decision. Had there been complaints about the message board? I see absolutely no positive feedback about this change in this section. There is no reason it should not be reinstated immediately. I have had my leagues on yahoo for more than a decade but CBS is looking better and better.

The message board are useful and make the leagues better. Bad decision to take them away especially in private keeper leagues that have been going on for years

why isnt the message board available ? This wreaks of being a really bad decision by people who just dont know and are making change for the sake of change.
The message boards make communication so much easier.
First Yahoo takes away article comments for incredibly stupid woke idealisms, now this !!

Seriously, this is such a horrible idea that we have already moved one league off of yahoo and are looking at options for the others. This 100% eliminates all league communications and makes coordinating anything with the league entirely impossible. Chat is in no way a viable option. There are absolutely no benefits to this and, honestly, I can't see how this does anything but make Yahoo completely unusable.

This is a genuinely stupid idea. I mean REALLY stupid. Adding features is fine. Taking away features for absolutely no reason at all and thereby making league communication infinitely harder is beyond dumb. Honestly, whoever came up with this idea should be fired from Yahoo.

Why in the world would you take this out. In public forums i can see why. But not leagues going on their 15th year. Please bring it back for this league. We communicate our picks, and whos available. If I have to pay for the service, let me know. This is absolute FAIL on Yahoo.

Why would you take away the message boards? We have been using it for years and is a very important tool for our league.

Please supply an explanation. This doesn't make any sense, or literal CENTS/Dollars for Yahoo. Chat/message board is fun!

This is how we communicate in our league. Why would you possibly remove this? Completely dumb.

Terrible idea, others will go to different platforms now as you can communicate on their boards. Whoever came up with this idea should be fired.

One more thing, I play enough mobile games to know that the chat function, outside of your own alliance/clan/tribe/etc., is totally useless. Which is what I suppose Yahoo fantasy sports is going to quickly become.... useless

This is total ********. Explain to me. like I'm 5 years old, how I can communicate with my league thru commisioners chat?.. and how do I communicate with my league mates that have no e-mail listed.

Horrible idea. I do not see how this makes the product you offer any better; I can, however, see how it reduces the quality of your product. I thought it was a weird enough decision on Yahoos part that the league chats were being moderated last season, but this makes zero sense. Being able to have league votes, or group discussions on league/baseball related issues, was one of the reasons we chose Yahoo for our league. Perhaps we should all go get fax machines for our league communications... that's basically what your "use email" suggestion sounds like. Not a good decision at all, at least if you really want to be taken seriously as a host for fantasy sports.
