[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

What a horrible idea. For the kind in league communication that the Message Board provides, Chat doesn't work. Of all the bad ideas over the years, I probably consider this the worst one.

Yahoo doesn't care, folks. Wish I'd bought stock in Fantrax last month.

This is literally the worst decision Yahoo has made in the 20+ years we've played here. We've used the message board to post our keepers so all teams could see, draft pick posting that was included in trades for our keeper league. Having all of that in the chat that no one ever uses is cumbersome and ridiculous, especially for older players in our league that don't use the app on a regular basis.
If it's not broke, don't fix it. We'll be exploring moving our league to ESPN.

I can't understand why this was eliminated. Fantasy Chat doesn't seem to be accessible on a desktop computer and using it thru the mobile app is cumbersome. Can someone please explain the rationale for this change? In what way do users benefit?

my keeper league used the message board quite often to post information, trades, and discussions since not everyone has social media.

Is anyone actually reading our opinions on yahoo canceling the message board? Are they even being monitored? I've read every single comment on here from mamagers complaining about this, and I have not seen ONE SINGLE POSSITIVE comment for eliminating the message board. Has yahoo even considered how many posters have ALREADY MOVED THERE LEAGUES to Fantrax? That alone should raise a red flag that they're making a HUGE MISTAKE! The MESSAGE BOARD IS EXTREMELY VITAL to not only my leagues (And I run 5 leagues) but every single league on yahoo. If the message board is not returned in 2 weeks, I will have no choice but to move my 5 leagues to FANTRAX like so many others already have.. I NEED TO COMMUNICATE to the managers to the league in order to organize my leagues, and right now I'm not able to do that. I'm NOT GOING TO RELATE to text messages on my phone to communicate when I can take my leagues to FANTRAX and use the message board like I have on yahoo since 2002.

Not having league message is garbage, Not all of us can find the stupid chat! BRING BACK MESSAGE OPTION

This is a trash decision. Message boards are easy to follow and keep threads intact. Reverse this decision, please.

All of the communication for my league was done through the Message Board. It was one of the features that drew team owners to the site every day. You should not get rid of it.

Please bring back the message board feature as soon as possible. It isn't critical but nice to have. Thank-you!

YAHOO. You're asking for ideas on how to help make things better? How about firing somebody(ies)? Who was the fool to terminate the message board? You just went backwards 20 years! In addition, there's no CHAT button to connect to anywhere! BRING BACK THE BOARD! AND HURRY! You've ticked off a whole galaxy of fantasy players.

horrible decision- Message boards are the easiet and best ways to communicate

Bad idea. Bring back the message boards asap

This is a terrible decision. First you got rid of the chat function on desktop, so can't communicate there...and the apps functionality and information discovery pales in comparison to the desktop site. Please bring back the message boards, what an absolute travesty. It is the easiest way to compile thoughts on one topic in one place.
Whoever thought this was a good idea should probably be asked to quit with no severance.

35 days until my leagues die due to no message boards.
Remember when AOL was the leader....Google AOL and I believe it will explain what is happening here. Did the merger contribute to the same results?

If you invent a smartphone as large as my Desktop PC hooked to a 70" Vizio, yes, I will then start using chat and draft on the phone. Otherwise, a smartphone is useless running a league, drafting, and organization of a messaging board on a PC. ****, even a laptop is better than using a smartphone in Fantasy Sports.

Simply put: What the **** were you thinking? You should have at least provided options. Do we need to worry about you pairing down anything else from the game? It's a basic option. Similar to mirrors on a car. You expect that it's going to always be there.

I think it's critically important to keep the message board. Some of the Team Owners have their emails blocked out for emails. Right now, I need to find out who is actually playing this season and not going to just occupy a Team Owner spot and be inactive all season.

Yahoo admin is awol, it is obvious they don't care...if you have a non-****-around league, move it to Fantrax or ANYWHERE else than staying here.

Yahoo seems **** bent on killing the Message Board. We may not see a satisfactory resolution to this boolsheet this year. So by nextyear, my guess is Fantrax will have added enough servers to serve the multitudes.
And then the re st of us can leave. Most will. And Yahoo: wait for football's complaints.
