[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

This isn't rght I like to b able to talk on messages about the league and who's in I'm challenging anyone to beat me straight up and I'm going to win it all with the team I drafted

The message board gave the commissioner and everyone else a forum to share ideas or smack talk with a reply-all option that isn't available in email or chat. Many of the older players don't use the chat feature or know where to find it.

What a terrible idea to drop the message boards. That is half the fun of playing in fantasy football, the smack talk along with the good sportsmanship. You think we want to email each other? Who's idea was this, and how fragile are they?

How will we be able to talk smack? It's a big part of playing the game. What's the reasoning behind taking chat away in the first place??

Whatever the reason for not having the boards back, what if we you create a chat system instead. Like an AOL instant messenger for the league. We just need a way to communicate, congratulate, efficiently.

The lack of message boards has really hurt communication. If they must stay, we need a separate chat for transactions and league chat. People don’t talk much but there is info that commissioner send out that often needs to be accessed throughout the year. Pinning alone isn’t sufficient. People still want to see FAB results but those and all other claims make conversations disappear.

This is a non-starter for me. Without a basic feature like a message board or chat I will have to leave Yahoo as my fantasy platform (playing under this ID since 2002, playing here since 1998) if this feature is not restored next year.
There is NO reason/payoff to being in a free league where no one can communicate on any level.
A better way to handle this would be to have someone actually RESPOND to complaints about the message board, about one person having two teams in one league, friends colluding, and blatant racism in posts, team names, team logos, etc.
This is an epic fail.

This is my first year TRYING OUT Yahoo and I'm really not impressed and actually after this last draft quite ****** OFF. YOU ALLOWED A USER TO REGISTER >>>>TWO<<<< TEAMS IN A SINGLE LEAGUE!!!! I don't know how many other players caught that, but I sure did! I'd LOVE to be able to inform the rest of the league so as to VETO ANY TRADES BETWEEN THE TWO TEAMS. So wrong. *SMH* >>>>EPIC FAIL!<<<<

Yo we have sum1 in are league that has a racist name and picture in are league. If we don't get rid of him then I'm leaving cuz this is Fantasy Football not a Klan meeting

I am unable to initiate a chat (discuss feature) on both desktop & app (android) - fantasy football. Not sure why. Features simply isn't there. I have seen screenshots from other managers that have it? Why is this not a full feature within both desktop & app? Opens one-on-one communication for trades, etc. For whatever reason people are reluctant to use the email feature to communicate to a single manager.

The message boards are very important especially in the basketball leagues that I am the commissioner of. I might need to move to a different platform without them because email communication has less of the community and conversational feel necessary to keep managers involved Can we at least allow the option for custom leagues? I can understand public leagues I guess but give commissioners the option to have the message board. Especially for keeper and dynasty leagues

Ummm...in a free league, with nothing on the line except for 'glory' the message boards are a big part of the fun. Just ban people who use them to attack others or whatever. How are we supposed to develop rivalries and so on without open communication? Email sucks as a way to communicate within a league.
Whoever came up with this idea should be fired.
