[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

i noticed that espn has removed their message board and installed a "chat" on their page as well....maybe this was some coordinated move? regardless, BOTH SUCK! i am moving my leagues (NOT to espn either!) if message board is not restored by end of the month. cbs and fantrax are both in play. yahoo.....you can suck eggs!

We use the message board often and it is the only way we can all communicate because two managers won't release their email addresses to the rest of us and one of us will not get a cell phone and cannot download the Yahoo fantasy app onto a laptop without creating an account in Google, an account in Apple, and giving Apple a credit card number. So you are screwing us by deleting this feature.

still stupid

How much complaining do you need ? Why haven't you restored it yet ?

Ocean 45 I agree with you that it should be the #1 topic but if you check message boards have 1327 comments and the #1 has 272. My math says 1327 is greater than 272 so the #5 topic is the #1.

This was a terrible thing to do. Can't have a proper private league without a message board. Dropping out of all Yahoo leagues, shutting down my yahoo email and removing yahoo as my homepage. Will spend no more time surfing through Yahoo pages.

Why would you guys remove this feature? It is a critical feature for leagues. Our league has been using your service for over 20 years. We have always communicated through the board. We use it for rule change requests, new member questions, draft order selection, etc. It is so inefficient to have to chat all of these functions.

Make sure to vote critical to move the topic to #1.
Maybe it will sink into these idiots heads at Yahoo that you can't take away a feature that was used predominantly by every private league in exisence and critical to organizing the very thing it was called, the MESSAGE board!

My leagues use the message board to keep track of weekly status. Not everyone wants to see messages regarding fantasy sports in their email or sometimes it even gets lost in there. I think changes should be made by addition, not by subraction. If enough people implore the criticalness of the message board for their league, will Yahoo actually bring it back?

Horrible move on yahoos part. There was nothing wrong with message boards and now yahoo effs up another thing that wasn't a problem. Stop fixing things that aren't broken. Your so called improvements are what drives people away. With all the options available to fantasy participants you might consider keeping the people that utilize yahoo happy. I can't believe that there were too many users that were clamoring to have message boards taken away.

Fantrax Fantasy Sports
I would encourage EVERYONE using Yahoo who is unhappy with this lame change to move to Fantrax. Yahoo is all about pushing people to use their alternate platforms... $$$. If they cared about their fantasy owners they would not have moved this quickly to remove something essential to our everyday needs.
Go to Fantrax

What was the cost of allowing league message boards? Are you saving money by removing them? Think about who suffers with this... YOUR LEGACY PARTICIPANTS. We have had the same group of owners in Yahoo for over 20 years. Our message board allows us to declare keepers, discuss trades, talk back and forth in threads about rule changes, etc... you are just creating a hardship for us. If message boards have problems because of abusive language or content, why not remove them from public leagues? We have rules in our leagues prohibiting foul language, personal attacks, and/ or controversial (racial/ Political/ religious) speech. We self regulate. But you could do that just by having an algorithm that catches the same thing.
You are making things worse, not better. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be terminated.

It is very important in our league. Alot of the older generation struggle with a text. This makes things more harder

Most people that remain loyal to yahoo are old school. Taking away message boards and forcing us to facey-tweet on your garbage app is insulting. Next, you'll make us learn how to open a PDF file...

Travis Connelly, I think you're on to something there.
Yahoo: "Let's f-up something we've done well for decades to make room for prop bets on how often DeGrom adjusts his jock."

Will be looking for a new site to play after 15 years playing on what was the best fantasy site going. You didnt think this through. Im guessing it has something to do with gambling, as thats really whats important to you guys now. I see changes all over the site pertaining to $$$. dont greed yourself out of users, cause thats what this will do.

dont take away message board!!! its where we all can easily see whats being said concerning important changes and ask questions about certian things that a poll wouldnt be able to. I cant believe youd consider this. Its a VITAL part of all my leagues. Leave good enough alone. The current chat thingy sucks.

Messageboards are critical to my league as we use it for our drafts, voting for league changes and all other forms of communication. Stupid that this feature has been removed BEFORE the chat is fully operational.
