change scoring system
I think a change in batting and pitcher scoring would be good for leagues. As there are 9 batter and 8 pitcher ways to score points. Of the 9 batter there are 0 ways to get negative points but of the 8 pitcher there are 4 ways to get negative points. I believe this should be adjusted and here are a few of my thoughts. For starters have equal amount of ways to get positive and negative scores. Positive batter category is runs, singles, doubles, triples, home run, runs batted in,stolen base, lower amount to 1/2 the points for a walk(as some are intentional),get rid of hit by pitch as no skill involve as a batter. Have negative numbers for strike out(should equal a pitcher strike out but -3), fly out and ground out(should equal a single but -2.6) and if hit into double play(should equal double -5.2). That makes 11 ways to score points for batter(8 positive 3 negative). Now for pitchers; increase a win or decrease a save point value because it takes 5 innings to get a win but 1 inning(or less) to get a save, should add Complete Game-Shut Out-Perfect Game for positive categories. Walks should be lowered to .7(some are intentional) and keep hits, earned runs, walks and hit batter as negative points. This would make 11 ways to score as a pitcher(7 positive 4 negative). I hope you do look at these suggestions and get back to me about them. Thanks for your time.
