Assigning auction values to player salaries
We play in a league that is similar to how you describe in the "Keeper Intro" under "Salaries" - players may be kept at their draft price from the previous year, plus $8. Every auction keeper league I've played in does some variation of that basic form.
It would be awesome if Yahoo assigned a player's auction price as their "Salary," or at least made that an option to select, similar to the other Keeper designation options you provide. I've never played in a league where the value of Keepers from that year were important but not the draft values…

A commissioner in a Salary Cap league can use their tools to edit the keeper salaries for players to set a manual salary or set a fixed salary for keepers.

Keeper Symbol On Upcoming Draft Order
For my keeper league draft, upcoming draft picks are displayed on the margin. However, it does not show that the upcoming pick will be used for a keeper. This can be confusing if you do not know your keeper picks off the top of your head. I think it will be a good idea for next season if in the left-hand margin for upcoming picks, there is a "k" attached to the pick signifying that it will be used for a keeper. I hope you can put this into consideration because I enjoy Yahoo Fantasy Baseball and I am encouraged…

In the setkeepercosts page for Keeper Salaries, add sorting the players alphabetically and salary management
In the setkeepercosts page for Keeper Salaries, I would love to be able to sort the players alphabetically and paste in the salaries. My league has 317 players in the list and manually updating each field is extremely tedious. Any chance on an update in the future? Even better would be to add in different rules to mathematically adjust salaries year to year.
Most of our salaries are tracked in an excel spreadsheet with formulas for acceleration depending on how many years a player has been kept and what round they were kept in. Even something simple like adding or…

Salaries
Why are only keepers salaries able to be displayed? All salaries should be displayed for players. Why are the salaries not displayed on the app? This needs to change. Yahoo hasn't made any improvements in the keeper leagues for 10 years.
Hey Paul,
A commissioner in a salary cap league has the ability to show keeper salaries on the team roster page, in trade flows, or in the declare keeper tool. The option to select these choices is in the Keeper Salaries tool under the Draft & Keepers tab.

Keeper League Contract Value
One of the drawbacks of Yahoo! as opposed to other sites is that you don't have a way to identify keepers with contract values. It is very disheartening when certain players get drafted and they become stars and NEVER see the FA pool again (i.e. Ohtani, Judge, etc.). It would be really nice if there was a way to assign a contract value to each and every player so they would have limits on the amount of time they could be kept on a team.

Keeper salaries setting custom salary option
Under your Keeper Salaries tool setting − Salary Cap Keeper Leagues there is a custom salary option the commissioner can enter any numeric value for all keeper players. Although the thought is there to customize leagues it would be more useful if you made it any characters not just numeric including alpha/numeric/characters and expand the character total to 10 so that commissioners can enter contract status and fractionated salaries for example 3.2 C 1of3. I am looking for a new home for our dynasty league. This small change could be enough to sway me in the future.

is there a methodology within Yahoo Fantasy Baseball to insure that keepers are only kept for a certain number of years - or must this be done by the commissioner manually?

There is no option in the system to allow managers to only keep a player for a specific amount of time; it is something that has to be manually tracked by the league commissioner.

Change the keeper approval date for fantasy baseball
Please move the keeper date way up! Because of your limited settings we run an offline draft every year for our dynasty leagues. With the current date set at 3/24 we won't have enough time before the season starts to do what we need to. We would have to switch to another platform if the date isn't changed. Thank you.
Hey Austin,
The commissioner of a league has the ability to change the keeper declaration date for when managers need to submit their keepers. The commissioner can then approve them after that date. The date must be before the draft in a league.
In leagues that don't have a draft date, you wouldn't be able to set a keeper date through the system, and would manually need the managers to tell you who they are keeping so you can input their keepers.
