[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

How is this only ranked 13th? 400+ comments in a week. I don't think our feedback will do a thing...but I'll give it anyway: message boards were our number one communication tool. Private league, 20+ years, we used the message board all the time. Bring it back.

People don't always read e-mails and these were extremely important ways of communicating with the league. Everybody who is involved usually checks them daily. I see nothing positive in removing them.

Ya awful change, even in public leagues the comments were very useful and in private leagues they were invaluable. Been playing for 15 years and this is the single worst decision made in that entire time.
I can't even think of what the reasoning behind removing them would be. There's literally no upside.

Awful change. We rely on the message boards heavily.

The execution of the removal of comments raises questions of fundamental mismanagement of its business. Everyone who uses yahoo for fantasy hosting depends on the company providing a sufficient platform. Yahoo's willingness to go backwards constitutes a breach of trust. Furthermore, yahoo's poor communication regarding its plans have exacerbated the situation.

Bad decision!
Not having a message boards will drastically reduce league communication plus it has the ability to archive the posts to view at anytime which comes in handy looking up stuff from last season. -

This is totally pathetic, if you dont want fantasy sports on your site just say so.
This severely handicaps communication within the league, emails get buried in your inbox and are not easily accessibly to people who want to re visit a comment , unlike on the message board where its right there on the league homepage for the season. This will make life difficult for Commissioner's having to answer the same question multiple times during the season handcuffs and makes conversations regarding league changes going forward very difficult. It eliminates the friendly chirping and trash talk between managers and comments commending a managers shrewd moves.
All in all It is very disappointing that you have chosen to remove yet another feature on your fantasy site without any regard to peoples thoughts and wishes......I have been a member of yahoo sports for about 25 yrs and commished many leagues over the years, perhaps after this season its time to move on instead of waiting to see what you remove in the future to diminish peoples enjoyment in fantasy sports

Worst decision ever. Whoever made this bonehead decision at Yahoo obviously does not participate in Yahoo fantasy sports and also incompetent in change management. WTF

If you plan to replace the message boards with expanded functionality for chat - AT LEAST get the chat functions working before you rmove the message boards. The message boards could have used some upgrades - but they provided essential functionality to the leagues. They need to be restored ASAP.

I've used Yahoo since 2001. I'll be finding a new home for my Fantasy Leagues. Bad decision folks.

Chat is not the best place for league communication. If you're going to invest in making it that way, you would need to make it into.... a message board. Stop trying to overcomplicate the ergonomics of the league page and just put the message board back. This is the most absurd change I have seen in 20 years of fantasy on Yahoo.

While not used much in public leagues, the message board is an absolute must for private leagues, especially keeper leagues. Without it, you make messaging very difficult.

Since you auto renew all the teams doesn't let me know that they're actually there. I used the message board for them to let me know when they're back. How can I do that now?

We need the message boards. Please reverse course and bring them back.

Time to figure out where my leagues will be playing now. It won't be Yahoo anymore. And I know it's been 25 plus years in Football and Baseball. Thís is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I put things I need to remember in our message section. Things like rule changes for the upcoming seasons. It just makes it so easy to simply look there. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Please read all of the comments and everyone's opinion and realize what a mistake you are making!

We use the message board to communicate draft dates and times, spell out changes that occured within the league this year, and historical winners, and second place positions from prior years. Message boards are an easier way for those to go back to important information quickly. If chats are used, it becomes a little bit cumbersome, to thumb the chat communication to find important information. Chats are designed for one off questions or comments, not really a reliable source of communicating important information. Likewise with emails...it is hard to tell if an individual is replying to the sender, a select few, or the whole league...Message boards works very well with active and engaged managers. Jerry L. This feature is an absolute must for most of our Yahoo leagues. This is ridiculous to stop having.

Terrible idea and not sure why? We have have an established dynasty league where our rules are unique and changes are hotly and opening debated on the message board. Having the discussion in front of everyone has proved successful for our league. As a Commish in a keeper league the early season is like herding cats sometimes and I find the Message Board critical to keeping everyone on track prior to the draft. We also use the message board to post trades made prior to our draft that are not done automatically by Yahoo. Just put it back! No one is in support of taking it away! So you got to ask yourself if none of the customers want you to eliminate it…why would I do it!
