[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

I am very upset about the removal of message boards! I think you're making a mistake!

How do you access fantasy “Chat” from web based browser?

This is ridiculous. That was the cornerstone of the leagues. We have many older managers in our leagues who don't use the app so the message boards was the best place to go. Your chats get lost after a few days, trade announcements, updates to the league sooooo many things just gone because you all decided to mess with the dynamic of the platform. We will be removing all of our leagues from yahoo and exploring other platforms. Good job Yahoo, drive away your fantasy sports players over such a simple thing

We have trusted and Yahoo and been loyal to the platform for 20 years, there is not a single person in our league that is happy about the removal of message boards, bring them back!

What is the point of taking it away? It doesn’t harm anything if you keep it, even if you add another method of chat, and our league used the boards all the time. This is a dumb move.

This is ridiculous. Not having a message board has already complicated setting up for this season. They need to be brought back asap. And you can't even see commissioner notes on the app. Turning fantasy into a joke. If it's not back we're moving this long time Yahoo league elsewhere.

This is ridiculous... Yahoo has been sitting lazily atop the fantasy commish platform pile, refusing to innovate. You havnt added features, instead you continue to take them away. Remember when we used to be able to post pictures and videos to the message board, like every other platform? I'll continue to try to move my leagues elsewhere.

It is absolutely essential for a fantasy league to have a message board. Yahoo really is dissing its users in not providing this. Next year, our league will look for a different platform,

I will defer to others, but I do like the message boards. More importantly though, I really think there needs to be a way to connect communications to managers text messages. People don't read emails anymore and many don't even check the message board. But they likely check their texts.

If something doesn't make sense, the answer is always money. These greedy decisions is why leagues will be looking for other options.

Last season on Yahoo without a Message Board. What is the point in having a League here? My League has Teams all over the World , and now no good was to communicate.
-

This is a horrible idea. Our league uses message boards to take poles, comment, make trades, make wagers, congratulate, etc. The message board was one of the features our leagues look forward to the most in both baseball and football.

I don't like it. You just made it harder for league owners to find managers to fill out their leagues. Message board allows you to send invitations to those who you played with last year and in other leagues and other fantasy sports. You just made it more difficult.

If Yahoo had to pick between message boards and chat, it chose the wrong option. I will suffer through this for this baseball season, but I'm done after that unless message boards are restored. Chat is a terrible feature and should be eliminated. At the very least, allow leagues to disable it.

why not? Why does Yahoo insist on trashing the best features of their platform?

Removing the message boards is ********.

the functionality of phone/app and desktop needs to be more consistent no matter what you do about message boards etc. I can only set keepers on desktop, but can't use chat on desktop. Be consistent. Not everyone uses the same devices etc.

Still a terrible decision. Only complaining now a days to make this number one.
