[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

No chat no play. I will go somewhere else and play!
I have played on Yahoo for many years and thought you were the best out there but no chat this year? -

why would you take away the message board? I'm sorry, but stupid, stupid move. Read the Comments, 100% negative. Imbeciles, say goodbye to Fantasy, I sense an exodus.

You incompetent imbeciles are losing a ton of business including my leagues.

I've already shared my point of view... and to add .. just another Corporate move and you've lost a user.
This decision really blows

bring back msg boards. and career stats. Make the android app better, not worse please. I should not have to log onto a cpu to do things. Oh, and bring back message boards. If you had prepared a tried&tested, usable, threaded, topic sortable chat site prior to the season we might be ok but my managers are not interacting in the chat and I have no way to contact them to encourage them to do so and give them keeper league startup info. Boo Yahoo. Your new name is Boohoo.com

We have used message boards in all our leagues for 20 years. It is sacred territory. Many people that play in our baseball leagues are older and don't like using the Yahoo app. We all write long messages on the board, venting while the season goes, discussion trades, explaining stat changes, negotiating draft dates, making congratulatory speeches at the end of the year. It is also a place to have all communication set in stone. We refer back to things published all year. We probably use our message boards more than most people. It is an historic and crucial bit of real estate. I've been shocked that you guys removed it, and would consider moving to another platform next year if this is your final decision.

Taking away message boards that were common for trades, draft dates, payouts, etc for nothing is the dumbest thing ever. You know communication among fantasy owners is key? Why in **** would you want others to be on the fantasy page, then go off-site to a chat service when they can do everything on the same site?
You literally lose clicks, potential ad revenue, potential leagues who need message boards, etc. Do you guys like to lose traffic?
Do your jobs, put the boards back. It's text and boxes. It's not demanding or hard to build it.

Why? Why take this away? Already received multiple complaints about it ..

That sucks. You're really screwing up fantasy ball since you bought out Yahoo. From the adding of players to this. Nothing's gotten better, just worse. This is my last year with you guys.

We left for CBS. Yep, we're paying them for a message board. See ya later Yahoo!

The message board is much better than chat. It can be organized by topic and easier to retrieve prior posts. It is the best overall method of communicating with members of the league without cluttering inboxes and disrupting via chat. Based on the feedback in this thread, it sounds like the message board should be re-instated immediately.

Our league, which carries over players year-to-year, uses the message board in the pre-season, every week during the season, and to house information for the off-season and future seasons. It is critical to the functionality of our league and the chat system is not adequate for our needs. The message board provides organization by topic that keeps league business organized and clear. Hate to say it but removing message boards would be a death kneel for our league continuing on yahoo this season and going forward.

Removing the message board in favor of the chat is not a good idea. I almost never use the app. We post our keepers on the message board so this should be fun communicating this year… not really.

If you are going to "invest" in chat as the "best place for league communication", how about ACTUALLY HAVING A CHAT FEATURE?! How are we to propose trades, post keepers in dynasty leagues, give ideas to change format, voice a protest for a pending trade, etc.? What kind of company removes a significant feature without any sort of substitution?

My group of friends has been in a league together for more than 20 years. The message board has always been an important easy to use, readily accessible way to communicate with everyone. It's really unfortunate to see this taken away, chat and commissioner notes really cannot support the same function.

I have run a trade league for over 15 years with most of the managers being in the league.
the message is board is the most important tool in our league.
we use it to post our protected players and trade each week. using the chat can work put will force managers to roll through a bunch of text to find what they are looking for. it will also force the commissioners to scroll through 3 days of text to find protected players while processing trades.
the message board is also used for setting up draft dates , times and rule changes at the start of season. the league also uses the message board to vote on all issues , changes , rules and clarifications through the course of the season
our league has 12 active members but only 4 are willing to use the chat. the constant notifications and the fact we have managers in different time zone is understandable. we will try to get bytes season using email and chat as our communication platform.
if the message board tool isn't restored either free or a pay leagues next season. we will probably move our league to a different fantasy site

Bring back the Message Board! Not everyone uses the app. It's very hard to have organized league discussions without the Board. Bring it back or we're moving the league!!!

Worst decision ever yahoo. Bring back or I'm moving all 7 of the leagues I run!

I am in a lot of leagues, we all use the message boards to communicate. This is not good, makes zero sense to remove this feature. I commish a league that has been around since 2003, looks like the run is over. Over and out Yahoo!
