[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

whoever came up with eliminating message boards should be fired.

As so many others have stated, the message board was an essential feature.
Not every league is a league full of friends, where text and email exist as reasonable alternative modes of communication. The current chat feature is buggy and cumbersome and difficult to navigate.
Message Boards were a one-stop-shop for sharing essential league information, resolving disputes and getting feedback from other managers. -

Is there a way say if a player a team gets hurt in the first inning is there a way to put in the reserve in after the starter gets hurt

Not having a message board for a league is the worst idea ever. To make matters worse, the explanation "you can use fantasy chat" without even a link to WHERE THAT IS - sheer stupidity. Been in a keeper league for ~15 years and can't even co-ordinate when to set up the draft. Yahoo finds a way every year to make this product worse. It's clear it's time to switch, which is probably exactly what they want so they can show the numbers trending down and shut it down completely and lay off the 2-3 people they actually have that work on it.

Bring back message boards. At least the option to. This is important for all leagues.

Reinstate the message board! This feature is essential to the social portion of Fantasy Baseball as well as basic stuff like league announcements. If it is not reinstated, our league will be moving elsewhere.

t!Not being able to league message is a JOKE! You are destroying your fantasy dept! YOU NEED TO RESTORE MESSAGE NOW!
-
STEPHEN MCKELLIPS commented
Reinstate the message boards IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, my leagues will likely find a different site for all fantasy sports moving forward. Message boards are the best way for communication among players and nothing else could likely take its place successfully.

dumb idea....Yahoo strikes again

Not sure why you did this. I honestly don't even know how to get to the fantasy chat from my PC. why would i need to leave my league's home page to communicate? Very unnecessary. All people across the 3 leagues that i am part of DO NOT like this

David Galpin commented
Where should we move our fantasy league? Suggested alternatives please.

********************************************************************************************************************************* I would like to express my chagrin and anger for Yahoo taking away the message board without warning! What were you thinking? This is a critical tool for communicating important league information and for hosting league discussions. People who use PC/laptops, instead of cell phones for playing fantasy sports, have been disenfranchised. I, myself, primary use a desktop which I find much more versatile than a smart phone app. How would you like it if one day you went home to find that your water company had decided that, since bottled water is so popular, your neighborhood did not need tap water anymore and had shut it off. To quote Father Mulcahy from the TV show MASH, "I'm incensed! I am outraged! Where is your decency, man? Your humanity? I am acrimonious!..." You have seriously ruined a great product! I am sure this will cost you many customers. *******************************************************************************************************************************

how the heck am i suppose to keep track of are keepers!! We do a 3 year max for players and it is determine by the round that player was drafted in. I kept all of that info on the message board. An insanely dumb decision.

Where the **** is the chat?

When is this chatbot being added? Trying to communicate with the league is challenging right now. Trying to understand the removal of the message board without having a communication other than email available.

Reinstate the message boards. Otherwise, my league will likely find a different site for all fantasy sports, not just baseball. Message boards are the best way for communication among players. Why would Yahoo! limit that?

Our league just switched over to ESPN Fantasy. Nobody wants to bootstrap a separate message board and run two apps to get the features that used to be in one. It takes less time to switch leagues than it does to be inconvenienced every time there is a message.

It's a bad idea in general, but especially considering I can't access the chat feature from the laptop/browser version.

We've been using Yahoo! for our league since day one and this will no doubt end that. WHY? There cannot be that much cost/time involved to support the message board, since it is only marginally useful to begin with... but it is at least an easy way to communicate with the league that doesn't require you to start sending mass e-mail messages. You should seriously reconsider this.
