  1. If you're going to make changes that affect every team, at least announce them and explain how they work.

    Removing IL+ without explaining it will lose you a lot of customers. Communication is important and explaining the changes doesn't take much.

    Hi Mark,


    A league note was posted about the change to remove IL+ from fantasy basketball.


    We've updated Fantasy Basketball to use official NBA player designations for IL eligibility. As a result, only players designated Out or Out for Season are IL-eligible, and IL+ is no longer supported.


    This change creates a clear, consistent standard based on official NBA statuses and puts more roster decisions back in the hands of managers. When a player is Questionable, Doubtful, or Probable, managers will need to decide whether to start them, bench them, or make a roster move.

    When you're drafting in Yahoo Fantasy Basketball, marking a player in the queue is pointless if you then make them disappear with the Draft button.

  4. Starting playoffs 2 weeks earlier

    I’d like to submit a formal suggestion regarding the default playoff schedule for Yahoo Fantasy Basketball paid public leagues.

    I strongly recommend moving the default fantasy basketball playoffs approximately two weeks earlier in the NBA season.

    The current schedule places the fantasy playoffs very late in the NBA regular season, when player availability becomes increasingly unpredictable.

    During the final weeks of the NBA regular season, fantasy managers frequently have to deal with factors such as:

    • Players receiving rest days
    • Teams managing workloads and minutes
    • Stars being held out of games
    • Injuries and precautionary absences
    • Teams changing rotations
    • Young players receiving…

    Thank you for your feedback regarding being able to enter the draft immediately. The "Draft Now" option is coming soon for fantasy basketball. This will allow you to draft in leagues right away instead of having to choose a draft date/time further out.

  6. Add Third Round Reversal Option

    Please add Third-Round Reversal (3RR) as a native draft-order option for Yahoo Fantasy Basketball.

    Our long-running 12-team H2H league uses 3RR every season because it helps reduce the advantage created by the very top picks in snake drafts. Yahoo technically allows us to create it by manually customizing the draft order, but having to rearrange every pick/round manually is unnecessarily cumbersome.

    Ideally, under Draft Settings → Round Rotation Type, commissioners would have:

    • Snake
    • Non-Snake
    • Third-Round Reversal

    For 3RR, Yahoo would simply run Round 1 normally, reverse for Round 2, keep the Round 2 order for Round 3,…

  7. Trade logic/dynasty year round

    Hi Yahoo Fantasy Team,

    I’m writing as a long‑time and highly active commissioner in Yahoo Fantasy Basketball, and I want to advocate for two upgrades that would dramatically improve dynasty‑league play and keep Yahoo competitive with modern fantasy platforms.

    1. Allow player‑for‑draft‑pick trades
      Right now, managers can only trade players for players or a pick for a pick. Dynasty and keeper leagues rely heavily on draft‑pick movement, especially during rebuilds, long‑term planning, and offseason roster shaping. Adding the ability to trade a player for a pick—or multiple picks—would open up strategic flexibility and align Yahoo with how real NBA front offices…

    Teams cannot be deleted from a fantasy basketball league because the season is over. The ability to delete a team from a league must be done before the league's deadline. You can find information on that at https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN6192.html.

  11. Do not remove the Today's Game column

    On 11/20/2024, the column of today's game (or whatever it was called) is gone. If the player has game it shows under player's name. What's left are the not important Ranking and Fantasy columns. It is much more difficult to see if a player has the game with the new format.

    The Ranking column doesn't even work (the current ranking is just a -). The Fantasy column is useless (%Start %ROS), these info doesn't matter anymore because players is already on your team.

    Please don't implement changes to make your product worse. Easily to see if a player has game…

  13. Over Maximum Games Played

    Hi, This is an issue that has been around for years and hasn't been changed. We have 3 utility spots in our roto league. Once position eligibility has maxed then the position locks. However, if you have 1 or 2 available left for utility and there are 3 spots, you can play 3 players and yahoo doesn't block it. Meaning that you can go over the max games played by 1 or 2 extra. I reported this years ago and yahoo still haven't fixed their bad code.

    Thank you for reaching out regarding being able to go over the max games played limit. Managers will receive credit for all stats earned at a position on the day the cap is reached meaning that you can go over the limit on the day that you reach it. This is the expected behavior, but we appreciate your feedback and we will pass it along to our team.

  15. Bring back the option of manually setting lineups rather than only the drag n drop option

    Please…I beg you …bring back the option of setting lineup the old way and not only the drag n drop way . About an hour ago I was checking my lineup on my iPad . Apparently when I swiped down it switched a player in the Utility position to the bench without my knowledge. So when I checked it again at 5:05pm PST. My player Tre Jones had been SWITCHED to the bench for Odinoby. Needless to say it was a horrible feeling to see a healthy player on my bench when EVERY stat is crucial during finals week. In…

    After careful consideration, we've made the decision to discontinue support for Classic Mode roster management. We recognize the value that Classic Mode may bring to your experience and appreciate your understanding as we make this change.   16. Fix your start active players button

    I used the start active button, and it left 3 players playing on bench and 9 inactive with no games on my starting roster. I lost out on 98 points. We have Modern technology to make sure this doesn't happen. Please fix.

  17. Yahoo Refuses to Respond to Complaints

    I've submitted several complaints to Yahoo Fantasy Sports and Rep Derrick about cheating, collusion, and abuse and they refuse to respond or take any action. They have also colluded with a team owner and retaliated against me for reporting the cheating, collusion, and abuse. Yahoo is a scam and should be avoided in the future. I'm taking my business to CBS Sports as Yahoo is a scam site, in my opinion.

  18. Update the Tiebreaker options

    This is my 2nd time submitting this and I'm trying to understand why it's not being implemented yet even tho it makes sense and is the most fair way to settle a tiebreaker. Tiebreaker for regular season should be based on which team won the most total weekly matchups in the regular season for head to head category leagues. (ex. if team1 won 11 weeks out of 20 and team2 won 9 out of 20, then team1 should win the tiebreaker). Please add this as an option for tiebreakers and please provide better explanations on the existing tiebreaker setups since…

    Avoid Yahoo Fantasy Sports
    They allow and condone cheating and even collude with team owners to help them cheat. They also punish owners for filing complaints about the cheating by silencing them. Yahoo runs a fraudulent fantasy sports website and is all a scam, in my opinion.

  20. Wired for Science (EWL) Cheats and the League lets him get away with it because he knows someone who works for Yahoo in my opinion.

    Wired for Science Cheats and is colluding with Yahoo Fantasy Sports, in my opinion. They are setting their lineups in the future so they're able to move a player from IL to the active roster while then then still keeping that player on the IL on future dates so other players can be made active. This appears to be a loophole in the programming of the website, but is cheating nonetheless because he's able to rotate 16 players onto his active roster each week instead of 13 players like every other team owner in the league.     Thanks for reaching out regarding your fantasy basketball league. The team placed the players in their IL spots when those players were injured and eligible for the IL. They are allowed to keep players in their IL spots as long as they want, but if those players change to a status that is not IL-eligible, they will not be able to add any players or make any trades until they are removed from the IL.


    When the players were injured, the manager edited lineups for future days in advance in order to keep those players in the IL on some days while having them out of the IL on others. They are allowed to edit future lineups in order to do this. They did not move the players to the IL spots when they were healthy. They were not able to add any players or make any trades once…
