This feature would allow commissioners to implement 2 week long playoff matchups for their league.

I agree, there used to be an option to have a 2 week final. Why they took it away is unknown????

Ok, its been almost a year yahoo. Any development on this? If you really want to offer the best fantasy experience you have to listen to your users. At least one comment back would be nice.

I totally agree! They used to have the two week finals in hockey years back, no idea why they got rid of it. The last week of the season is far to unpredictable to be used on its own because of benchings. But it also sucks not using those games at all.
Get on it Yahoo!

I believe in baseball we have the option to make the finals over the last 2 weeks of the season. Why not for hockey???
The season ends on a Saturday, and teams bench their star players often in the final games. Its only fair to have this option.
Please fix this ASAP.

division teams should play each other in the playoffs

The playoffs is what it's all about.
I'm just wondering. -

Sorry, in that last paragraph I described the format wrong. The first one-week round would be 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5.

I assume this will not be implemented for this season at this point. But I would greatly appreciate it yahoo if you would make this option available for next season. Is there any updates on this consideration?

Agreed.. I have a two div league where they play within the div twice and the other div once. I want to create a custom playoff, too

Agreed, it would be good to have the playoff seedings to be customizable. Not only that, but a wildcard race would be great too. There are better options than yahoo for sure.

Would it be possible to make a more customizable playoff setup? Our league has three divisions, and we'd like to be able to set something up to make those divisions more meaningful. It may be worth the move to ESPN otherwise.

Still hoping this can happen for this season. Any updates???

Any updates on this? Also if possible could this be implemented for this season?

I agree, this should be an option. I'd like to have my players compete within their divisions before going on to a conference finals/league finals.

Sorry about the grammatical errors. I meant to say when I ran 20 teams the first season, most of the teams that were sub .500 teams at mid-season quit maintaining their rosters because they had no chance to win.

I would like to see the playoff format expanded to 16 teams. I run a deep league where I have the team limit set to 12 because only 8 teams can qualify. When I ran 20 teams the first season of the league, most teams that we out of playoff contention quit maintaining their rosters because they had no chance to win. Expanding the amount of playoff teams to 16 would be great, even if it means starting the playoffs earlier.

I would love the option to have x amount of teams from each division make the playoffs and compete and be reseeded within their own division till a division champ can be determined, than have the division champs face each other for the final round. (i.e. in my league we have two 6 team divisions. i would ideally want the top 4 seeds in each division to make the postseason. The first and second round of the postseason would be played within those divisions with 1st seed facing 4th, and 2nd vs. 3rd, in the 1st round and the winners from both facing each other in 2nd round for the division title in each of the two divisions. the 3rd round would put the 2 division champs against each other for the championship.) this is how it is structured in real life (i.e. eastern conference champ vs. western conference champ for the cup) and i think it would add a lot to the game to allow for playoff structure to be heavily influenced by the division setup.
