I wish to sign up for email.
But I will never provide my mobile number. I will not "use a friends phone" or "buy a disposable phone" as all the workarounds seem to suggest.
You know what I did instead? I signed up for gmail. As providing a second email is perfectly satisfactory to meet your supposed conditions for requiring a mobile number, I went with that option.
I understand your need to strip mine personal information as part of your business model, but you are misjudging the market. Most subscriber rate surveys and trend reports show a clear downward trend in your share of new subscribers…

Your new American home page (I am American) is terrible. I will be switching to Chrome along with everyone else very soon if you do not change it back. ability to reply to and forward emails has disappeared and needs to be looked into
Today i wanted to forward an email to others who might appreciate the info it contained and found no way of either replying to or forwarding emails. If this is a permanent problem, then I will have to change email to another email provider. This is problem is totally unacceptable.

Your new and not improved home page does not give me the option of using either explorer or chrome. As I hate chrome...not thrilled with your bigger than ever homepage...does not load well when I a in a country with slow internet. Had to go to Google because it is basic...too much info too much loading time...makes it SLOW

Allowing Account Information Changes
While I actually like the Yahoo Mail iPhone app, I am absolutely furious that I cannot update my own name, and despite updating my profile it is still sending emails in a name that was changed five years ago. How does Yahoo NOT allow for marriage or divorce to necessitate account name changes? Nor can I even CONTACT Yahoo support for additional help with this. That's deplorable. Pathetic. Inexcusable. It NEEDS to be CORRECTED. IMMEDIATELY.

It is impossible to contact you for help. Your help pages take me in circles. You obviously don't need me as a customer.
If you want retention you should make help available. My account has been hacked. My password and alternate email changed. I cannot get help from you. This leaves me no choice but to leave yahoo. I will not open another account with you as you do not offer support.

Maps and Directions
Maps and Directions used to be readily available on Yahoo then whenever the new Yahoo gets changed to a newer Not better Yahoo it is gone gone gone could you keep a Maps & Directions Button in your Features I know maybe with all the new gadgets it seems unimportant but MANY of US don't have and or don't bother with all the GPS ,Cell phones etc. having it on my computer to check and print helps me a lot.
