Deleting comments, and censoring dissenting opinions to the Liberal agenda does NOT "create a safe and engaging place". It creates a place where weak minded individuals that can't cope with the fact that the world doesn't revolve around them, have a nice calming echo chamber that's totally divorced from reality. It's nothing but pandering to a delusion. You're not going to "change the world" by pretending half the population doesn't exist.

Bring back the comments section. The news and how it is written has gotten extreme and needs rebutting. We readers need to be able to comment on issues omitted, distorted or outright lied about.

Yahoo Preventing Comments is Intentional and Unconstitutional
Yahoo has been intentionally blocking comments on articles, and IMHO I believe it is to suppress the opinions of the people in the lead-up to the national elections. That makes this suppression of free speech illegal as a violation of our First Amendment rights to expression. Verizon Media, who now owns Yahoo, is behind this suppression. I have been one of the very first members of Yahoo since they were founded in 1995, and this action is unworthy of what Yahoo was originally founded to do.
