If i click on a link in my mail about a reply to my comments here on Yahoo, please make my comment the top one when I link to the article.
Make my comment the top one when i link to it from my mail or notifications. I am tired of having to search for my comment out of a thousand other replies.

I agree. Half the time I just don't search as it is a waste of time. The comments section can't be that poorly designed. Can it? Oops.

They (Yeeblowme) don't want you accessing previous comments. They want to control the narrative so they can control you...it's the leftist agenda. It's like that one kid on the playground that took the ball away because nobody wanted to play by his/her (did I just assume gender?) rules.
Quite honestly, the staff is likely nothing more than spoiled brats with a low IQ.

Yahoo is the purveyor of censorship. If your comment was found offensive in any way, whether to Yahoo tyrants or some **** in the comment section, Yahoo will delete it. This comment is most likely offensive to the tools. My most recent comment about me always referring to Ellen Page as Ellen Page and that she cannot force me to partake of her delusion and losing war against biology was rejected. Go figure.

I discovered it is a browser issue. I had the same problem. I use Chrome on Yahoo and if you give the system a moment, it will locate the message in question and allow you to reply.
Be certain you make Chrome the primary browser for this to work.

Maybe you said something about not believing in the LGBTQ+beliefs, it's the only beliefs in America that you are not allowed to say you don't believe in.
No one cares what you do or what you believe in as an adult, you are free to believe in whatever makes you happy.
But don't try and make others believe in something they don't.#wedontbelieveinlgbtq+beliefs!
#sayNotoReligiousandLGBTQ+beliefsin minorchildren'spublicschoolsandTV shows!
Stay strong proud traditional Americans and pass it on!

I think the reason Yahoo is doing this and making it so frustrating is because if someone actually read your comment or replied to it then it probably has some merit to it....so they don't want you to find it to create discussion about it, they just want to keep shoving their liberal bias down your throat without meaningful discussion.

Unable to find my comment to reply on. Briefly appears when linked from email notification, then DISAPPEARS. Why is this a continuing problem? Upon linking from the email notification of a reply to your comment, it should take you directly to your original comment. Please fix this.

When I get a notification someone has replied to me, I click on it, and it takes me there for half a second, then resets and takes me to the newest comment again. Literally the only way to get to your comment is to find it via scrolling, which is impossible on a highly-commented article.
The best part? The commenting system's feedback form is broken, too! You click on submit, and it just sits there and does nothing.
Yikes.

If you are going to bother posting a link to reply to someone in the comments that has replied to you, the link should take you to the comment in question, not to the comments section in general. Your comments section is already a shambles. With the technology available it is just an embarrassment.

I would like a way to search for my comments and the replies to them.
I see that someone has replied to one of my comments, but I have no way to see what was said. If I can find the article at all, then there are usually hundreds of comments that I would need to search thru.
Other sites have a feature that you can see all your comments and the responses to them. -

Give me at least a few seconds to reply to comments.

Has anyone *successfully* followed Notifications, a Yahoo emailed link to a Reply, or the previous comments list under your avatar to revisit your Yahoo News Comments? These tools take one to the Comments section where your desired comment or reply is flashed for under a second before the current or top comments are displayed. I've called the PAID Yahoo support three times over the last year with NO resolution, and no way to find those comments other than pouring through hundreds or even thousands of others. FRUSTRATING!!!

If you have that feature, "reply to ----", from your email or under the notifications drop down (bell icon), then it would be nice if it actually worked.
I want to reply but don't have a day or two, to read 2000+ comments to find the comment I want to reply to.

Why are you just giving lip service to your comments section? Fix it. Having to search through hours of comments in order to respond to a comment is just ridiculous. You guys used to be WAY better than this.

When I try to respond to a comment someone made in response to me, I either have to spend forever searching for the comment or I'm advised that the question is not available. Why does this keep happening? Are you trying to stymie discussions?

You post a comment and get an email telling you that you have a reply. You read the reply and click on reply to them... You are unable to post a reply because you are taken to the beginning of the article and may have to sort through thousands of reply's before you find your own post and the replies to yours. Fix the link to take you directly to your post only

I find this problem irritating as well! Why send the emails if you can't respond to your comments....and I know it's not a computer cliché!

I think what you are talking about is the comment section at the bottom of articles. If that is it, yahoo doesnt do the comments. That section is a routine from a company called "Openweb". They wrote it, run it and control it. Yes, it is trash. It's a terrible piece of programming and whatever yahoo is paying them to maintain it is FAR too much, even if yahoo is getting it for free.
As far as the problem of locating your post, there is a convoluted way to find it without too much searching. Try this:
In your email, click on the respond link
when the page opens, click on the "show more comments" link and let a longer page load
Once that opens, scroll back up to the top of the comment section where your own profile picture appears
To the right of that, you will see a little icon that shows notifications
That also has the name of the person responding to you and a little of your post.
You then can scroll through those to find the particular one you are looking for.
From what i have seen, they are in no particular order so its a pain to find them sometimes but not as bad as scrolling through the comments themselves.
Click on the one you are looking for and it SHOULD load right up. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt.
And be CERTAIN to click the "show more comments" before you do the search through the notifications on the section itself. Otherwise it messes up and you have to close the whole window and start over.
Truth is, that comment section has gotten to be such utter garbage that i dont even bother with it anymore. Its 90% foreign trolls and bots doing nothing but shitposting.
Good luck with it, Hope it helps. -

You post a comment on an article. After you posted it a reply is made and yahoo emails you that someone replied to your post. Problem is when you click on the reply to that person you have to scroll thru over a thousand posting just to find your one post and the reply. Set up the email notice to take you directly to your posting only so that you can reply to that person. Presently your site makes you have to scroll through every post to find yours.. that is insulting.
