Fantasy leagues
As a long-time Yahoo fantasy sports player, I would love to see a change in the process of how league champions are determined: It seems ridiculous to determine the "champion" solely on the basis of playoffs conducted at the tail end of a sport's regular season. A team's performance over 22 weeks (in the case of baseball) is a far more meaningful measure of a manager's skill and a far better means of evening out the effects of injuries, etc., than what takes place a single week, especially one that takes place when many teams are resting regulars. (I've also personally witnessed a situation where one manager, eliminated from contention, strategically dropped a key player in order to enable another—his wife—to pick the player up for the championship.)
At a minimum I would propose the addition of a separate set of trophies awarded to regular season champions. Speaking for myself, and as someone who has won a few playoff "championships" against managers who bested me over the regular season, I would much more value the regular season honors.
