How do you delete a portfolio?
How do we delete a portfolio? Previous question on this forum just takes me back to the cover page about sending a question.
To delete a portfolio, follow these steps:
- Click on "My Portfolio" in the navigation menu.
- Choose the portfolio you wish to delete from the list under "My Portfolios."
- On the right side, click on "Settings" and select "Delete Portfolio."
- Confirm the deletion by clicking "Confirm."
If you encounter difficulties deleting the default "My Watchlist" or a renamed version of it, we're aware of this issue and are actively working on a solution. Thank you for your patience!

I am using Classic because the new Portfolio is horrible. How do I remove Watchlist?
The I created a bookmark for my portfolio, but when I click it, it gives me both "Watchlist" and my portfolio. How in the devil do I remove the Watchlist so I only get the portfolio I want. Is there anyone at Yahoo Finance QA who tests these things?

how do I post a distribution of cash from the money market fund in my portfolio2?
I do not find a way to show a cash distribution from the cash fund/money market fund in my portfolio. Now it shows too much cash. Please allow adjustment to cash fund lots.
You can always add and remove Cash through the Cash Holdings section. You can make deposits as well as withdrawals. Lots are not editable.

Bring back negative share entries
Apparently the negative share feature was removed. All transactions that I had entered a leading negative sign for have been changed to positive, so the total number is incorrect. This has apparently been disabled. This leaves me without a way to enter recordkeeping fees in HSA and 401(k) that are based on share amounts rather than dollar amounts. This is true on mobile app AND web, no way for user to fix.
Yahoo finance has been deteriorating sicne the beginning of the year. I've now downloaded another app to track finances. -
Portfolio performance comparison chart
There is no option here to compare the performance of the portfolio with for example the SP500 and with other funds or stocks.
Only in "home page" Portfolio 2.0 is a small graph preview (Annual Performance) without any information.
Everything else seems great to me so far.
Thank you for the feedback. This functionality will be available later this year.

How to edit a transaction in Portfolio 2.0
I'm trying to figure out how to edit cost basis of a transaction in Portfolio 2.0. Going to Settings/Add a Holding brings up the "transaction" but does not seem to allow for edits. Any ideas? Or how to revert to the former pre-Portfolio 2.0 as a workaround?
You can quickly edit transactions from a desktop or mobile browser with these steps:

I want to be able to edit the comment field for a company that I have 0 shares of stocks.
I liked version 1.0 because it wasn't Charles Schwab, or some other brokerage company. They locked me into what I could do and not do. And it was real money in real time. I liked Yahoo Finance so I could track my investments and stocks/bonds/cash/etc. Being able to track and add comments to companies that I do NOT own but may invest in later. I lost these feature that Version 1.0 gave me. I want to be able to edit the comment field for a company that I have 0 shares of stocks.
Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to inform you that we will soon be removing the current restrictions, allowing users like you to follow a symbol without needing to add transactions. This will enable you to track and add comments to companies you don't own shares in, just like in version 1.0.

Not happy with 2.0 version. Very difficult to track stocks that I am tracking....Don't currently own. Be able to edit comment only
I like to add companies for tracking purposes (don't currently own the stock).
I would like to edit the comment field without adding/selling shares. Just add company name and comments. Like I could in version 1.0.We will soon remove mandatory fields from portfolios and you'll be able to just add note for a given stock.

Charts data covered over by indicators and comparison
Please change the height of the charts so that the indicators and comparisons are not covering chart data. This is so annoying. Both are important, but what made ANYONE think that it's ok to put the boxes for indicators and comparisons on top of chart data?
Thank you for utilizing our advanced charts! You have the option to collapse Plots, which will prevent them from obstructing your chart view.
