Change for the sake of change is NOT A GOOD IDEA.
If the format has been changed for security then I accept., only under protest.
If the change has been made for the sake of change then I am really angry. Some of us take years to learn what we have & hoe to use it. Then every couple of years some A-HOLE goes and reformats the thing so that we have to relearn how to do everything.
What you need to remember is that the population of Canada and USA is actually aging and old people do not learn as well as younger people do. -

Agreed.
Each time that Yahoo think they are improving their service, they take ten steps back.
The spam box should be away from any icon, as to stop confusion when clicking. A choice of having a view of ALL your emails, instead of a split screen.
Review your designer team, as they are doing you a dis-service and giving you false promises with their new design.

Go back to old format! I cannot delete unwanted items without opening the message which I do not want to do.

Had you asked before switching I would have said no. Have you ever heard the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well my e-mail was not broke. Please return me to the old e-mail. Thank you.

Indeed. I wasn't even given a choice, I logged in, and there it was. I tried this version previously, didn't like it, and reverted back. I don't see that option any more. Also, STOP asking me to whitelist yahoo. I don't want your ads, nor do I care if some things 'don't work'. I am not going to whitelist yahoo. It simply is not going to happen. STOP NAGGING ME.
I wonder if GMail does this same ****. Is it time for me to move to a different provider?

I just don't like it it is not comfortable, and my friends and I like to use the emoticons on the old email, so much so that they have become an important part of our correspondence!! I know it sounds like a little thing but we have been using them for years they have personalities!! I don't understand why it is so important to change!! Another thing is I have been getting more spam on this new one!!
