Please be sure you click on the settings wheel in Mail, not in Help. We have found that some users are trying to make the change to switchback to classic Mail in help.yahoo.com rather than in Mail.yahoo.com. You will not find the option to switchback in Help. You will find it in Mail.

    I agree YAHOO has block me from using the email service because they insist I have to use Firefox or Google's awful Chrome browser. NO, NO, NO!
    I use SeaMonkey with security add-on, is far more secure on my Linux set-up, than your suggestions, however YAHOO blocks me from using MY browser for emails.
    Why?

    I hate you YAHOO! Why do you change the format I'm so used to? I don't like your Gay new format it looks like a first grader put it together.
    Why do you make it so diffucult to get the old format back???

    To Edward:

    Where is the Contacts icon on the top right of the screen below the 9 dot? configuration to the left of the home icon? There is no contacts icon on the top right of the screen. There is only the the little wheel icon and it only gives you 3 options and contacts isn't one of them.

    I click and nothing happens. I try to create a new password and it wont let me. I go up to what I think is the settings icon in the upper right and it gives me 3 irrelevant options. I try to follow directions to go back to the comfort and familiarity of classic email and it wont go back. In general, every time a suggestion is made to upgrade to something supposedly better it screws up what I have already. You tech people do not think in terms of simple easy solutions. You ask if an article has been helpful and there has been no article to read. How about a phone number to speak to a human and getr things resolved simply? After all, you have some concerns about "robots" and i follow the directions to click on all the cars or mountains and it doesnt recognize what I have done. NOTHING IS WORKING ASFAR AS YOUR SUPPOSED SOLUTIONS NOTHING!!

    I found a way which might help all of you with the forced exodus from classic mail. Click the contacts icon in the top right of your screen below the 9 dot configuration to the left of the home icon. Once the page changes to contacts your colours and format should revert to the old classic design. Then on the top left below the Yahoo logo you will see an envelope. Click that envelop and the page should change to your inbox but the colours and design should remain in the classic motif.

    How do I switch back to old format? - this new one is horrible and I dont even know how I found this page.
