Several Mailbox issues
Stop changing the theme/format/look/functions of Yahoo!'s email system. Every single time Yahoo! changes the format/style/theme/etc. of the mailbox, they get a metric ton of complaints about it. Yahoo!'s users don't want things to change ... at least not so drastically, and all at once, and be forced to accept the change without any choice in the matter.
It is impossible to contact Yahoo! directly in order to complain about this kind of thing, so this 'feedback forum' was created. Yahoo! needs to stop what they're doing, take a step back, and look at what they are doing to their users. Instead of 'updating' for the sake of updating, or changing things for the sake of change, try sticking with what works, and make minor changes here and there to enrich the experience.
For example, your email system just went through an 'update' to a new format ... why? Why was it necessary to update the mail system when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place? If it was just about adding a feature, then just add the feature, don't overhaul the entire thing. That makes absolutely no sense.
Also, it seems like things that were able to be adjusted in the previous version are no longer able to be adjusted at all (i.e. the tabs ... instead of opening a new tab for a reply, open the reply window in the current email tab instead. That's how it worked in the previous version, and it makes absolutely no sense to open a new tab to respond to an email that's just going to be closed anyway once the response is written and sent.)
The new color schemes aren't nearly as good as they were before, and Yahoo! doesn't even include a night mode for its users. To say nothing of how much freedom Yahoo! has taken away with this new format in terms of personalization of one's mailbox (how it looks, how it functions).
Granted, there have to be some things that are kept from the free users because Yahoo! does have a premium email service that costs money to use ... but is it really so bad that the free users have the ability to choose how their mailboxes look without resorting to the abysmal color schemes that are available now, or getting letting the free users get rid rid of things like the 'Views' list/menu because it takes up unnecessary space? What about the themes that were available in the previous version? They're gone too. Why?
And why hasn't Yahoo! done anything about the fact that if the mailbox is left open for too long, it starts to slow down everything else (and by everything else, I mean the entire computer, not just open tabs, or the Yahoo! mailbox itself) because of ads?
Yahoo!, get a properly functioning customer support department (with valid phone numbers users can call, chat capabilities, and a properly functioning customer service email) up and running so that your users' issues can be properly reported, and looked at so that they can be fixed without all of the unnecessary running around in circles users have to do just to get to places that might be able to help with a problem only to find out that the link provided brings them right back to the main help page.
