HI Everyone - i was just on the phone with "support". 800-305-7664. The very polite agent put me on hold and looked into our Contacts issues - mine was the grayed out edit function - and came back on to tell me "there is nothing wrong with Contacts on our end - it must me a problem on my computer." She wanted to remote in, but i told her i am finding this problem on multiple computers and multiple browsers, and declined.

I am able to create a new contact list; however, I can not send an email to the list. Please allow the ability to select a contact list to send an email.

Here we are again! Stop playing games with your customers! I do not want to try Mail Pro - just enable the contacts so I can edit and assign contacts to groups! Thanks in advance and please don't hinder my work efforts again!

See title. Trying to send a birthday card and can no longer see phyysical addresses in the new Contacts format.
As a free service, weren't you really better off leaving it simple?
Maybe finally time to go to Outlook 365, honestly. -

we used to have a perfect ability to handle our email contacts after we found the serous limitation on how many can be in each group to mail out. We are a Veteran's Post and rely on being able to properly send out our newsletter and information to 495 members. Your "NEW" email system screwed that for us. We ry to add new members to the lists and do a save and theyy are not there. Give us back what we had. We are screded by changes we were not warned about. Any ideas about where we can turn to in order to prevent the pain to our veteran members?

What is the deal with the 1 less, 3 less, 4more,e tc, arrows in contacts. I cannot find the ONE contact I'm looking for. Would straight alphabetical be too much trouble or too low tech.
Yahoo wrote: We continually strive to improve and upgrade our products to make them even more useful to our members.
I respond: With each improvement YOU FAIL TO IMPROVE.
Please stop improving and find a way to make the present format work. Each "improvement" brings one improvement and five new problems. STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT.... PLEASE! -

How many complaints do you need before you hear? Quit changing! Now I can't assign contacts to groups! In process of switching to gmail.

You folks really screwed the pooch this time. You deleted my contacts groups (distribution lists) which are VITAL to my communication to business and other related cohorts. Why did you whimsically decide to blow away my groups and put a paying customer of Yahoo Mail Pro at such a disadvantage and hobble my email?? If you can't fix it QUICKLY, I'll be moving all to a competitor's email and telling all my friends and acquaintances to stay away from your inferior product. Signed, A VERY PO'd long-time, paying customer.

This is so cool, everyone is complaining about not having the ability to edit contacts and Yahoo doesn't answer anyone. How novel!
I learned a lot coming here.

There is at least 1 reason (if not many) that I did not want to switch from the Classic version of Yahoo mail. Now that the switch was forced upon us, I can see that you have managed to ***** up our ability to manage contact lists (in particular to add new contacts to existing contact lists), which evidences the fact that you're really not interested in improving Yahoo Mail when you've taken so many steps backwards in the end user functionality.
In good faith, I'll give you 30 days to fix your screwup(s) before I go looking for another provider. -

Why isn't there an add new contact button?

I can add contacts to an existing group list. But when selecting that list in a new email, the system is automatically inserting the original or previous list without the new contact. Please dont tell me to create a new list every time that I add a contact. Is this possibly a Windows 10 problem?

I have a list of issues that would be too onerous to search for in your feedback topics as your topics can't even be sorted in voting rank and I have to go thru numerous year-old topics that are no longer active. So I will list them here, and hope you read and consider.
The contact section of email has become pretty much hosed since your major change. Off the top of the list are:
1. Names are no longer separated into first, middle, and last which was essential for my being able to sort effectively for my job as reunion contact coordinator. Please break names down again.
2. Contacts are being sorted by first name, and there is no option to change the sort. I'm guessing that is because of #1, the names are no longer broken down. Please add the option to sort in different ways.
3. Some of my contact data has been lost. I have painstakingly entered addresses, notes, etc., but some of my contacts have absolutely nothing in their records anymore. It seems to happen after I've edited a contact to change their email, but I have not been through every one of my records yet, so I don't know if it is more widespread.
4. When I look at the group lists, I see both emails and phone numbers. Why is that? I use these lists to sort out the different statuses of my contacts' email. I only need them listed once, because I only check each individual person I want to send the email to.
5. After I've changed a contact's email, when I then go to compose an email to this person, the old email addie comes up, and there's no sign of the updated email addie. Yet, when I go back to the contact list, this person is now in there twice. Once with the old email addie and once with the new one. AND neither record has all the other information I once had on them like address.
5. Group lists are not sorted either. So without going through the ENTIRE group (which COULD contain hundreds of names) I don't know if a person is already in that group or not. Please bring back being able to see at a glance, what group list a person belongs to, if any.
6. Trying to add or update a contact in a group list is cludgy at best. I enter a name I might want to add, but it is unclear what it is I'm to do. Please bring back the previous way of updating these group lists. These group lists are crucial to my being able to sort and categorize the status of my contacts.Thank you for reading. I really hope you take action per my and others' suggestions out here. I am in the middle of ramping up to update and communicate with my contacts for a reunion, and I am dead in the water with the way contacts are set up now.

Restore my access to all the addresses, phone numbers, and notes I entered into my contacts on yahoo. I no longer have access with the "new" mail and I am furious.
