Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

This is so typical of Yahoo. Whenever they unleash a new "improved" version it is always completely dysfunctional and un-intuitive. Yahoo has been broken for many years now. I think the only reason we all stay with it is because it's too much of a hassle to switch. It's obvious that they care very little for their users and apparently have designers who never actually use the service themselves.

Totally agree. What a damnable mess.

The new layout for CONTACTS is terrible and just does not work on a regular basis. I have (2) new customers that need to be added to a list and the system is not allowing me to do so. If the error isn't changed ASAP, I will be switching to a new email provider.

I have now 8 of the same contact NOT ONE! Why are my contacts being duplicated and replicated in my BCC and even contacts I deleted 5 years ago have come back and can't get rid if them.
Stop fooling around or I leave ymail. -

The previous option to add contacts to a list no longer works. The option at the end off an individual list is gone. Also, the Add Contacts function while Editing Contacts does not work. These items existed in the old version and should be reinstated in the new version.

the phone numbers and ability to edit contacts appears for a day and then disappears again. GET THIS FIXED ONCE AND FOR ALL. Those of us paying money for this service deserve to have it work.

change it back to the way it WAS- It is horrible and not user friendly.- You need a manual to figure out how to do anything. It doesn't even show you how to add new email contacts. Shame on you for changing to the way it is now without considering the variety of users you are catering to. I am thinking of switching to Anyone else but Yahoo!!

When I add a contact via my iPad to Yahoo, the contact does not appear in Yahoo's contacts on my desktop, and vice versa.
I would like to be able to sort by last name, and I would like to be able to have lists.
The new contact book feels very messy.

It is horrible work on that narrow pane on the left. Can't you treat it like the email pane and allow it to be widened?
Also, I can't figure out how to prevent the contact information from populating my contact card with the information from their contact card.

My contacts are suddenly now listed by first name, and I want them listed by last name like they were until yesterday. I don't see any way to do this outside of going back to Basic.

Please tell how you 'beat the new system' for Contacts! I'm sure MANY would like to know.

I hate this new version. It's so difficult to use. At least allow us the choice of keeping the old version.

Please RETURN MY MAILBOX to the way I arranged it and LEAVE it alone. IF you don't want me using MY Mail get rid of me and I won't care about you screwing around with my contacts or order.

Ha! I beat the new system! I actually spent about one and a half hours trying to figure out how to add someone to your new system contacts and then add her to my list for her. I finally got how to do it. So very not intuitive, but I was doing something that you do not allow and that was I copied her email address from an email she sent me and it kept saying "Invalid Email". I could write a step by step instruction as to how to add an email and add it to a list if anyone thinks that would help?

Amen. I cannot figure out how to add a new contact and put (add) her into my existing list. It was easy before, this change is of no value whatsoever. Why do you make these changes seemingly without any testing or to see if there is any actual improvement? Please just put the old system back it worked fine!

cannot add or make changes to MY LISTS. I would like to keep names under different organizations, cannot do that now. Please stop making improvements, you are going backwards instead of moving ahead.

The Contacts section needs to be redone. Except for information that was previously there, one cannot edit or add information. If allowed, the information is linear and one has to follow a long text of information. Contacts are by first name. Last name should be first. Overall, I am totally dissatisfied and frustrated with your Contacts email function. Please make it much closer to the way it originally was, which served all of my purposes.
