Current problem: When deleting items in the bin, I have to constantly click on the 'select all' or 'check all' checkbox, followed by the dustbin icon (delete X selected messages). This is a 2-step process and if I have e.g 200 deleted items, I probably have to repeat this steps 10 times. This is too troublesome, I believe yahoo!mail used to have this option previously, not sure what is the reason behind removing it. But I believe this 2-step process inconvenient.

Suggestion to consider: Have a 3 dot icon that represents 'more', beside deleted items and when user clicks on it, a sub-menu displays. In this sub-menu, provide options such as 'empty' or 'empty deleted items' (refer to outlook, they do have this option in their inbox). This would save all the hassle of having to select all and delete the deleted items page by page.
