Feature Request: Enable receiving mail at the base alias of my Temporary Email Address
Hi. I love Yahoo Mail, and I've been using it since the 90s. I am writing to suggest a feature enhancement for Yahoo Mail's Temporary Email Address system i.e. [basename]-[keyword]@yahoo.com. Specifically, I request a toggle setting that allows users to receive mail directly at their "Base Name" address (e.g., [basename]@yahoo.com) without the "keyword" part.
For security, this should remain disabled by default, but enabling it would provide significant value for several reasons:
Flexible Identity: Many users treat their base name as a secondary, professional alias. Forcing a hyphenated keyword makes the address appear less official and harder to communicate verbally.
Mail Categorization: This allows for a "clean" primary inbox while using the base name for a specific category of life (like a side business or hobby) without managing dozens of individual keywords.
User Retention: Competitors and private mail servers often offer "catch-all" or alias features. Adding this would bring Yahoo Mail’s power-user features up to modern standards.
Reduced Friction: It prevents important emails from bouncing if a sender forgets the specific keyword or if the user hasn't pre-generated the exact variation needed.
Thank you for considering this update to improve the flexibility of Yahoo Mail.
