Colors/Themes
I did not like the gray background of read e-mails. The unread ones should be bold black as they were previously and the read ones should be on a white or lighter background. It is currently very confusing...

would love to see themes on the new yahoo mail

It would be good if the background color could be changed for e-mails. For instance new could have yellow, read emails could be blue, and categories could be red. Some type of customising for e-mails with colour to show it is not read, new, priority, offer, social, etc.
Would make them easier to identify. -

1) Bring back the color themes for look of Yahoo Mail
2) Update the Yahoo Calendar to match the new material design look of Yahoo Mail
3) Make the SPAM and TRASH folders persistently visible instead of collapsed in the options button
4) On right frame of new Yahoo Mail, make mini Yahoo Calendar visible againThank you

Make the email you are viewing a different color than the read messages. Confusing when they are the same color. Also, how about making your contact us function actually work instead of locking up?

The one color I do not like is purple. Please give us the option of having a choice of color in our inbox. Thank you for considering this option.

The new mail needs more color options. Light, Dark and System is very limiting. The dark is too b lack, there needs to be a color scaler and color selector.

the "new" mail has only black and white themes?

We were told we could revert to the old if we didn't like the new. Where is that option? I want my colors rather than this B&W

I personally do not care for the purple default color for certain things. Didn't we used to have a choice of colors?

What happened to themes? Black or white is not cutting it.

Literally the only thing I can find about the new Yahoo Mail that I like is the fact that it's possible to get rid of the stupid date dividers in the inbox. The themes are physically painful to look at.
Everything is incredibly lopsided with the huge wasted space in the sidebar on the right side.
There isn't enough contrast, and there's no sense of flow in the design with the level of minimalism and everything the same color. It makes it very difficult to actually focus on anything. The way that the emails go from light to dark when they're viewed is very ugly and confusing and makes it look more like they're all selected rather than just viewed, which keeps making me think I'm at risk of deleting multiple emails. Navigating to anything is harder and more confusing. The lack of any color contrast in either light or dark view is very visually straining and frustrating.
I was excited about the new look for a minute when I realized that the date dividers were finally gone! But it's massively, massively worse in every other way.

I do not want to look at a black screen, white screen or monochromatic screen when I am in Yahoo Mail. Bring in some pastel/natural color, patterns, to go along with the option of black/white screen-savers/back-grounds.

Letters could be larger and Fonts can it be changed? Miss the different color between, sometimes hard to read next line when there is no distinction.

I really missed having the colored themes, it helped to break everything up on the page. The colored themes, like before, made it easier on my eyes to help focus on what needed to be focused on.
