Censorship never works. People intent on shocking with foul words always find a way around the censor. It only serves to stop honest communication. Censoring “bad words” is fine in grade school but if you want adults to talk to each other they should have the freedom to express ideas. Also the automated censor often removes things which contain fragments of banned words making communication hard. One example was when Mr Trump said there were good people on both sides... one side was neo nazis... nazi was banned.

BTW simply having large comment count does not make a user a “troll”... in fact the opposite is probably true. A true “troll” account won’t last long as they will be flagged. I have been a member for way over 10 years... I am not a “troll”. Trolls live on BOTH sides of issues and strive to produce chaos. Take care who you label troll... driving long term users away is one goal for true trolls.

If we want yahoo to do something we all should start to flag the troll comments and explain WHY we are doing so. I have been stalked by trolls who openly use fake accounts and return under a new name if banned. It is easy to point at yahoo and expect them to wave a **********.... These trolls are very clever and can only be stopped if we work together to identify them.

Agreed. This will be done when the profiles are updated. Users will be able to have a profile picture and name separate from their Yahoo Account.
You should be able to update your picture by updating your Yahoo Account again. This was fixed.

It is funny that people who don’t understand the comment section often believe their comments have been “deleted”... yahoo is so bored they just wait to delete their profound comments.
