We have removed the “Show Less” functionality from our news feed due to feedback and low usage from our overall user base. For those currently using “Show Less”, your existing preferences for blocked publishers will be maintained for the time being, but we no longer allow the ability to modify these preferences. Stay tuned though – we have lots of exciting updates ahead to bring you the high quality, relevant stories you want and need.

actually this Yahoo user likes the local stories, BUT they need bylines at head of article. Many stories have some impact on national and world affairs, but there should be a clear connection to reality, a date of publication, where it was published, and who wrote the piece. That context makes the story worthwhile.

so much of the Yahoo news is copied from other sources, so perhaps any errors of grammar, spelling, or usage can be ignored. but honesty would require datelines be in EVERY article. a story should have where and when and who in beginning of every story. a story that is 24 hours old is different in value than one that is 1 week or 1 month old (they might be important still, but that is different than one from overnight.)
Post all sides, but identify source, author, and date. Who, What, Where, When, and Why -- the basics of journalism.
