jg2 DTD players are treated the same way on a Hockey roster, it is only when they are listed as IR do they not count towards the 23 man roster. Yet in Yahoo Hockey leagues Commissioners have the option of adding an IR+ position which incorporates DTD. All this guy is saying is that Yahoo Baseball leagues should have the option for DL+. Not sure why Yahoo doesn't have this as an option especially when in Baseball injuries are more rampant and having a guy DTD hurts your team a **** of a lot more considering they play almost every day.

I don't understand the desire for this proposal... a GWG is a GWG whether it's in OT or not isn't it?
To say it's "Truer" than scoring with say less than a second in regulation isn't right. And how is it more "clutch" when it's down to 3 on 3?

One of the main things that differentiates defenseman from forwards is the amount of TOI that they put in. To make this work as a category it couldn't be cumulative for the whole week- rather you would take the top 10 (or top x amount) TOI performances from one team vs the top 10 (or x) TOI appearances of their opponent and add them against each other to decide the winner of the cat for the week (for H2H).
This would keep it from getting devalued through something like streaming or a weak schedule and I think it would be a way to add more value to time-eating defenseman that many people have been looking to do without the double-counting of the stats for forwards since the forwards with little exception aren't going to give the highest TOI performances over Defensive players in most lineups.An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous

A viable option. Next to the percent value I would still like to see the very valuable numbers of the actual won/total numbers my players got in sort of a grey kind of like they do with TOI so ie-
FO% 79 150/190
And some sort of minimum FO's to be taken that can be set by commissioners so a guy who flukes with 10/11 can't win the category without really competing in it. -

Additionally this would really shine when importing custom pre-draft rankings to multiple leagues because you wouldnt have to set high ranked players who are keepers to "do not draft" in order to filter through them.

So frustrating having to sort through 60+ names at the top of the list in Pre-Draft Rankings because they are Keepers in my league. Would be nice if there was an option to hide or remove these protected keepers from the default list before editing my rankings.

I tried having "No trade deadline" and locking each team from trades at our own deadline with the idea of unlocking trading again after our playoffs were over and the NHL's began. But after unlocking the message reads "error 155 The Game is over you can't do this action." Another good idea blocked by yahoo! It would benefit my keeper league who allows offseason trades to even just allow trading during the NHL playoffs - we're still all following hockey for the most part during that time. Can't see why it couldn't be all season or at least extended for playoffs

Ya. I like it a lot. Would make drafting in keeper leagues a lot more interesting too. With the possibility of trading your future prospects you got lined up and not just draft picks would add a whole nuva level. I for one would look deeper into the young players coming up in the league.
Should follow NHL Rookie rules my vote but good option either way. -

Good idea to keep things interesting! But if I can help out this is already a possibility since the commissioner can manually enter draft picks for all rounds. You just need the shout-out to the league about how it is and the commish can set the rounds next year based on the results. Another idea is to have the loser of the consolation give up a better pick for a worse one from the winner of the consolation. Incentive to win AND not to lose!

Hi Clayton this wouldn't mean any additional slots, this would just allow players listed as DTD to be placed into one of the 'x' amount of DL slots that your league allows.
People stash players in DL all the time that's not really an issue. This idea actually makes things a lot more fair because while you may have a full healthy roster I can have a guy listed as DTD who I can't drop or put into the DL so I'm losing an opportunity to earn points all week.
We don't have 40 man rosters in fantasy so the flexibility makes it more real not less too, cuz the real teams are fielding other players we should be able to as well.
