Hey Al, thanks for your feedback. If you’re in a private league, your commissioner now has the ability to customize the seeds of the first round of the playoffs. This would allow your commissioner to adjust based on record of wins and losses or any other qualification. Check out this article for more details:

I think the 4 letter network has it where the playoffs are 2 week matchups, I'd actually love for that to be an option here.

Yeah, this needs to happen. At the very minimum give us the option of having and IR (COVID Only) roster spot. I would rather not have to police it myself in our league.
