Playoffs - Customizable consolation bracket.
This feature will allow commissioners to do the following;
- Turn the consolation bracket on or off
- Change the number of teams the league has in the consolation bracket
- Customize the seeding and teams in the consolation bracket.
Currently, the consolation bracket is only available for 4 and 6 team playoff format, it is not able to be turned on and off, and does not allow for the commissioner to change the number of teams in the consolation bracket or customize the teams/seeding.

commentedYes! I think it is very important. Our league and thousands others want the option to hold consolation brackets for teams that missed the playoffs, so they can compete for draft positions the following year or just simply compete through to the end of the season. You can do it! I trust the talented folks at yahoo to add this important feature to satisfy their long term customer base.

commentedAll teams should be able to participate in some sort of consolation bracket despite final position in the standings

commentedAdd functionality for a Toilet Bowl in lieu of a consolation bracket for teams that do not make the playoffs. In a Toilet Bowl format, the 6 worst teams will face off in what appears to be a traditional tournament bracket, but the 1st round bye goes to the 11th and 12th seeds, and teams advance in the bracket when they lose, thus crowning the ultimate loser. Nobody cares about winning a traditional consolation bracket, but everyone cares to not be the proven worst team in the league.

commentedBeing able to have a customizable consolation bracket would be fantastic. We have a 14-team league with a 6-team championship bracket and would like the option of making an 8-team consolation bracket. The goal of our league to keep every team competitive through the final week and have a small prize for the winner of the consolation bracket, a punishment for the loser of the bracket as well as weekly high score/low score payouts.

commentedPlease allow us to turn off the consolation bracket. Nobody is ever interested in keeping going after a long season in which they missed the playoffs

commentedWe have a 12 team league with 8 teams in the
Championship Bracket . Want a 4 team Consolation Bracket to run in Weeks 15 and 16. It enables all teams to compete after Week 14. Why can't the Commissioner be able to schedule these non playoff teams after Week 14? is there some kind of software package problem? if so, then be transparent about it.

commentedGive us an option for a 10 team playoff from weeks 14-17. Seeds 7-10 have a play-in for the 7th and 8th seed, then playoffs resume as a 8 team playoff after that. 14 team leagues would benefit greatly from this.

commentedWe have a last place punishment in our league and would like 7th and 8th place able to get last place in the playoffs to give them something to fight for as well. Have an option for the 1st round bye in the consolation bracket to be for 11th and 12th places instead of 7th and 8th.

commentedThere needs to be an option to turn off the consolation bracket. There is no way to protect free agency from eliminated teams in the playoffs because consolation games are not considered as eliminated in Private Prize Leagues. Please address this.

commentedIn our league and im sure in many other leagues the consolation bracket is of great importance. please allow the consolation brackets in 7 team formats. otherwise, by adding the benefit of a 7th team you also lose out on the consolation brackets. this makes purchasing the yahoo commissioner plus not worth it.

commentedThis feedback has been posted since 2021 and yahoo still has not acted upon this feedback. Unreal. Poor management by yahoo. People has been commenting every year and yahoo still does nothing. Being able to turn off consolation brackets doesn't hurt people. They can choose how to set their league up with or without this option. But to leave no option for customers that wants to turn off consolation brackets is bad customer service.

commentedThe lock eliminated team on yahoo is completely useless. When lock eliminated teams in prize leagues is activated. That setting should lock all teams that have been eliminated from the playoffs from adding and dropping players. That is the whole purpose. Having consolation brackets like there some sort of reward in prizing leagues is pointless. Commissioners should be able to turn off consolation brackets.

commentedThis is critical - honestly this should be base functionality. I can’t understand why this was not part of the base. I paid $25 for a 7 person playoff only to lose my consolation bracket? Bad form and if not fixed I will definitely leave yahoo

commentedPlease add the option to turn on off the consolation bracket. For our 12-team redraft with 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes, consistently eliminated teams have zero interest in continuing to set lineups and compete. I lock all those teams anyway, per league rules, so they can't add or drop players. It would just make my life easier if this were an option I could set for the league

commentedA consolation bracket is absolutely critical! Our league plays every week to determine draft positioning and keeper eligibility, so we need a consolation bracket to keep losing owners engaged through the end of the season. I didn't even realize until now that we can't even edit the schedule at this point to manually set a consolation bracket. This by itself is a reason to move our league to another service. And as much of a pain as it might be, I'll probably be transferring our league off of Yahoo THIS WEEK just so we can play our consolation bracket! Seriously, Yahoo, how hard would it be to simply allow league commissioners to manually edit the schedule during the playoffs?!?
