Playoffs - Two week playoff matchups.

This feature would allow commissioners to implement 2 week long playoff matchups for their league. For example, in a 4 team playoff, the first round of the playoffs would run for weeks 14 and 15 and then the Championship would be weeks 16 and 17. Currently, this feature is not available to commissioners.

    Why can we create are own FOOTBALL playoffs Schedule ...?
    I wanted to had another week for the Finals

    Cause right now its a 8 teams playoff format (Week : 16, 17, 18)
    BUT I want to make it like this :
    Week 15 first round
    Week 16 Semi-Finals
    AND Week 17 & 18 The Final.
    (Cause more then often the week 18 are difficult to managed because of "sitdown" players.... so by making a 2 weeks Final the problem got resolved AND we can have Fantasy football from week 1 to the last one)

    Please make it flexible so we can use it for are profit. Thanks.

    Come on guys- I have been playing FF for over 10 years in ESPN; CBS and YAHOO. One of those other competitors offered it over five years ago and it is very fair- here is why. As you know there are many injuries every week, or, some players have bad matchups for a particular week. To be eliminated from the first or second prize based on one weeks results is very unfair ( especially after surviving 13 weeks of injuries or poor performances. Just like last year, my team was 11 and 2 in first place after 13 weeks but performed poorly in weeks 14 and dropped into the 3/4 place matchup- that is unfair. One week my team gets 140 points and loses but the next week it gets 250 points and wins. Total the two weeks up and let that total be measured against the opponent to be able to move on. Come on, it is a very way for weeks 14 thru 17 to get a final winner

    Give us an option for a 10 team playoff from weeks 14-17. Seeds 7-10 have a play-in for the 7th and 8th seed, then playoffs resume as a 8 team playoff after that. 14 team leagues would benefit greatly from this.

    Is Yahoo that far behind their competitors that they cannot offer two week playoffs? Are you even in the 21st century technology wise?

    I do not understand why other platforms are able to offer two week playoffs against the same opponent (combined score is the winner and moves on to the final round (for another two week playoff--same format). I have been playing FF for over 10+ years and have utilized the two week playoff format in either ESPN or CBS (can not remember which one) a few years years ago befiore i came over to Yahoo in 2021. How can they offer this but your techies don't have the skill set????

    In addition, why can't $$ awards be given for the teams at the end of season (before playoffs begin) such as team with best record, 2nd best and third best AND THEN award $$ again for the playoffs winners??? Teams often do well throughout the 13 or 14 or 15 week season and should be rewarded for that. They drafted well, used the system weekly to improve their lineup or replace injured/IR players on their roster--quite an amount of time is devoted toward winning each week. They go into the playoffs and have a bad day or, one or more players get hurt or, benched by the players coach (to save them for the NFL playoffs) for the playoffs and that teams loses their matchup or matchups and receives no share of the winnings! How fair is that?????Why is your platform not equal to other platforms in the industry??? Rather disappointing because I feel YAHOO is advanced in some ways but not a leader in the industry AND THEY SHOULD BE!!!!

    I hope somebody at YAHOO actually reads and discusses these comments with senior staff for improvements to your platform and what you offer your customers. CHANGE IS GOOD and IMPROVMENTS CAN ONLY MEAN AN INCREASED MARKET SHARE OF THE INDUSTRY.

    Yahoo MUST make this an option. The flexibility is available on sites like Fantrax and ESPN that I know of, for sure. Just be nice for Yahoo to provide and I think they could lure even more folks back over. I do leagues on all sites, and I know many love the Yahoo interface and app the best. But for the function of the league....I have enjoyed the other sites that give you "all the tools" to be creative and flexible.

    I agree this needs to be added and now yahoo has the 7 team playoff option it would be great if you had say for example in a 14 team league:

    Weeks 1-13 are regular season games.

    Weeks 14,15, 16, 17 playoffs with 7 teams

    Then that means 16 and 17 is the double final!

    My suggestion is a bit different but along the same lines of more customization to the playoff structure. I would like
    Regular season week 1-14. Top 4 teams make playoff
    Semi-final week 15 only
    Final week 16+17 combined

    Fantasy platforms are starting to evolve with the game and it seems as though yahoo is falling behind. I’ve played fantasy sports on yahoo for 20+ years and want to see Yahoo lead the way in adapting to fantasy football changes. One way to do so is by allowing managers more flexibility to adapt their playoffs, especially a two week championship game.

    2 week scoring fantasy playoff format - This would more accurately reward consistant teams and avoid a random down week in the fantasy playoffs. This would be a rolling total for 2 weeks

    Example 12 team league with 6 team playoff format

    Week 12 + Week 13 = Round 1 of playoff
    Week 14 + Week 15 = Round 2 of playoff
    Week 16 + Week 17 = Championship Game

    This is the only thing ESPN does better than Yahoo. How is this not an option? It's critical for fair fantasy basketball payoffs given how sporadic the NBA schedules are.

    I totally agree with the comment below from David Palefsky, exact same situation. I know ESPN offers the two-week option.
    We'd prefer to remain with Yahoo, as we've been with them for a long time, but they need to keep up.

    We have an 8 team league that plays each opponent exactly twice in the first 14 weeks. With the addition of week 18, we would like to have the semifinals remain in week 15 and have a two-week championship cumulative round in weeks 16 and 17.

    We want to have a single week tournament for ALL teams in our league after the playoffs are done (week 18). The CBS fantasy football site allows it's members to do this and we would like Yahoo to do the same.

    Agreed, with the extra week being added in 2021, the option to have a two-week championship using combined points would be great.
