ERA is a useful summary statistic, but my favorite stat for pitchers is Opponent OPS. For MLB, overall, Opponent OPS is pretty consistent with ERA, but for an individual pitcher, it is much more indicative of his true pitching performance than ERA. ERA has many biases that Opponent OPS does not have. For example, ERA rewards pitchers who allow most of their home runs with no runners on base or are able to strand runners at the end of innings, even though those events are generally believed to be random and out of the pitcher’s control.Yahoo, please add Opponent OPS as an available scoring category.

In pitching Holds & losses , and hitting extra base hits, walks Walks of all of these must be added, stupid not to add them. Same with Holds.for pitchers.

How can I find out if this feedback page is viewed by any one at yahoo? Wins plus Quality Starts has been asked about for years with no response.

If you play in roto with Ks and BBs for offensive stats, this could lead to skewed standings if not everyone uses their games played. Adding in K% and BB% lets us keep the stats we like and avoid any potential problems with teams not using all their spots and gaining 12 points in Ks. Thanks

Creating a category just for "starting pitcher wins" would eliminate RPs from racking up 'cheap' wins

I agree. Please add Wins + QS. It's very simple and will get rid of the controversy behind choosing one or the other.

About 4-5 years ago, I suggested a new pitching category, OPS against. Just like hitters have OPS, so do pitchers. If OBP against can be a pitching category, so can OPS against, or OOPS. Opponent OPS is much more indicative of a pitcher's true pitching performance than ERA is. Please add.

Because of the number of injuries not only in baseball but football and basketball as well the "can't cut list" should be abolished or there should be a new category for players who are out for the year so they do not take up DL or IL spots. Designate it as "ineligible to return" (ITR) or "season ending injury" (SEI). If you do designate an injured player so he does not count against the roster then the "Can't cut list" could be retained.

Jesus, if this is rated #1 no wonder we are still waiting for them to let us drag and drop our drafted players to the position we want them in. Who thought this stupidity up? And #1?
