Playoffs - Odd number of teams and more Bye week options
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs and other options for Bye weeks in the first week of playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.

Yahoo, why are we not getting some feedback on this. Its a no brainer and everyone agrees and wants this to happen. Can we get someone in charge to respond to this??
Please!

Since you are gathering feedback now, I'd go for this too. I've wondered for several years now why fantasy baseball playoffs go thru the regular season but all the other fantasy sports championships end with a week to go in the regulars season.
The last week of the fantasy baseball season is really a contest of "who gets lucky" with players that actually are playing for something vs. teams that are resting their stars for the playoffs or benching the stars when they are eliminated from the playoffs and playing the call ups instead.

PLEASE!
All I wanted was to make the season shorter by a few weeks so we don't overlap with football and when players get shut down it doesn't affect us as much. There's really no technical limitation on why this can't be pushed to production today. We have the technology! I reached out via Twitter to see if there was some option available I couldn't see, but the only options were:
- get rid of playoffs
- start the season a few weeks later (doesn't solve any issue)
- shorten by 1 weekI've been a commissioner for awhile now and the biggest issue I hear is baseball is too long and time consuming. Another semi-feature request: you offer half-season leagues that start in the second half, but no option for first.

Playoff teams sit their players in the final week. It should be like fantasy football and basketball where the last week of the reason isn't played.

Include the option for 2 week championships. H2H is random enough that two teams get to the championship, they should have to be better for more than just 7 days. I'm sure this used to be an option, and for some reason Yahoo! got rid of it.

I would also factor wildcard teams as well.

make this happen!

There is. That is the standard default in public leagues.
Go to your league page. Scroll down to Standings. Next to standings you will see Schedule and Playoffs. Click on Playoffs. The current playoff bracket will show the bracket if the playoffs started today.

Why is there no option to have 1st rd byes for the top 2 playoff teams with a 3 week playoff system?

How much more feedback do you need, Yahoo? I cannot understand why this hasn't been implemented yet.

agreed. I think there's multiple suggestions regarding this type of customization. would love to see it this season if possible, before the seasons start.

let the commissioners decide the tiebreakers especially for the playoffs. but make it start when the draft is complete and make it to where it stays as set the whole season.

i agree, let the commissioner decide on playoff tiebreakers, or in the commish tools let there be a setting on deciding a tiebreak.

Also a big fan. The more customization the better for private leagues.

there should be an option where you rate priority of who is makes it in the playoffs, with record then h2h then points vs each other then points vs the league, or something like that

with dailey fantasy leagues taking over this option would be great...

Allow tiebreakers in the weekly schedule. Days or partial weeks for each match up.

Great tool to have... also begin able to change the length of scoring accumulation from other than a week. Give us a schedule option that mimic MLB or allow games to be measured in days not each week. You could really create series type scheduling.
Making the schedule options flexible would make this less like Fantasy Football. If fact all the sports should have alternate scheduling to avoid the fantasy football feel.

I agree, I'd prefer ESPN to yahoo, but ESPN's customization options are so much better and deeper than what they have here. ESPN's interface really needs an overhaul. The phone app is pretty pedestrian.
